Bought one of these last year for a posh do - great quality, heat added.

Same here. It did the job nicely, but unsurpisingly hasn't been used since.

Worth investing in a DJ if you're at the age of lots of weddings (of the posher variety) or do a function a year. Hiring isn't much cheaper. Just try not to put on too much weight and it'll last years! Or if you're lucky like me you'll have a mum/friend who is a wiz with the needle and thread and get get a bit of extra width out of the trousers.
I'd imagine some supermarkets have similar deals but M&S is always decent

...same can be said for a lot of other items.

Worth keeping an eye on Cdiscount. They often have good DJ deals on.

+1. Same price 18 months ago, so while good value it's not a special price / deal right now.

Hubby got one of these last month when they were just under £50. Not worn it yet, but we have 2 balls to go to next month.

Do you get second-hand food there as well?

Mmmmmm, ready-chewed...

Excellent, thanks! You should post this as a separate deal!

DJ, for a wedding? When did that start?

Convention is full monty ('morning suit') or lounge suit. DJs are for dinner.

Like the idea though and agree that buying one is a good investment cf hiring. My M&S one must have been used 20+ times now and has come back into fashion at least twice! Hot deal for a decent one at this price (though supermarket cheapies can be got around the £25 mark on the run up to Christmas).

PS I think your Mum/friend mut be a 'whiz' - I think a wiz has a rather different meaning.

Love a man in a DJ.. Hot from mex

Fantastic timing! Husband has an awards ceremony to attend in a couple of weeks and always usually hires a suit, costing almost as much! Thanks very much!

Was looking yesterday to hire one - will have to have a llok-see at one of these -that's £10 dearer than I found hiring!

It was always £49.50 for just the jacket and trousers, the original poster also included the £15.00 shirt this pushing the price up to £64.50.
