Made for M&S by Fox's who also make a very similar pack for Aldi, and at a lower price, albeit slightly less weight, and these certainly aren't worth £6, so cold from me!:{

Just because they come from the same factory doesn't mean they use the same recipe and ingredients.

I think you'll find they do I work for Fox's so can confirm this.....

The waitrose version are £4 a box and currently buy 1 get 1 half price making them £3 a box if you buy 2. Might be useful for someone who has a Waitrose closer than M&S

I have relatives who have worked for Jacobs / United biscuits generation after generation and you would be very surprised at some of the Brand names that go on the packets, identical biscuits, identical ingredients some costing twice the price of others.

At least you can get served in M&S. I've given up with Aldi and Lidl if I'm in a hurry.

You're obviously fooled into thinking that because it has M&S on the box it must be better. Next you'll be telling me that their Oakham chickens and Loch Muir salmon is better than other retailers, despite the fact that those places don't exist.:{

I forgot to mention that as an ex-M&S shopper who has had both boxes of biscuits, without knowing where they came from, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I suspect you haven't tried both, even if you have even set foot in an Aldi store.:{

how do you know that its made Fox's?. i must say that I have tried both and cant notice the diffeence. same with the crackers. very interesting

I think the Aldi ones are £2.49. I saw them the other day and thought they looked rather similar. Aldi Moser Roth box of choccies are quite nice at £1.49 too. :)

really!...the one near me seems to only employ chatty octogenarians!, the tills are glacially slow.
#23
Having tried both I'd go for the M&S ones. They are very similar but 500g compared to 450g at Aldi and some of the M&S ones are exclusive to them I think.

See above post from someone who works for Fox's. I also used to work for a biscuit company (not Fox's) so can recognise a company's products when I see them.:{

So if they are identical why are they different weights? What do you do for fox's?

I know people who produce stuff for m and s among other companies also and the m and s products are better quality because they are a lot more demanding in what they want.

And - as other people have pointed out re: Oakham, I'll answer the Salmon one!

Whilst Lochmuir doesn't exist, the salmon that fall under the brand name are indeed different to most other salmon sold within the U.K. due to the diet rich in omega 3 that they are fed on (And therefore grow more slowly & therefore can demand a higher price).
