Minus 12, being voted cold for some reason :? could it be because they would expect to dine out for that price? ;-)

'tis all those from engerlund. they simply cannot understand the fact that there are other countries in the uk (actually, make that country, as wales is a principality and ni is merely an administrative entity). pity those poor souls.

Aye, especially seeing we having a Scottish person in charge! ;-)

You can't really call it in charge can you! ;-)

Better than the Poll Tax I suppose... ;)

Seriously this £10 dining deal is still a good one. We had the pork medallions the last time along with a roasted/chargrilled veg side dish. Was delicious.

The large trifle seems a better deal in terms of a sweet as well. The Rose was ok last time out but the previous Zinfandel was nicer.

surely with less advertising - should cost less? I still think a tenner quite expensive - cause I dont drink anyway.

just an update, deal seems to be as following:

choice of 3 wines - red/rose/white
side dishes seem to be - roast mediterranean veg or spinach salad
mains are - pork medallions/veg moussaka/whole chicken or a chicken dish
desserts are - large strawberry trifle/fruit salad/strawberry tarts

all in all a great deal, quality remains high and definitely a worthwhile try.

cheers op!

WOM through sites like HUKD is the future, thus proven by your deal posting.

I'd heard about the Waitrose deal and thought I'd give it a try but they were closed by the time I got there so was plesantly surprised to see the £10 signs in M&S's window on the way back.

I've had the rose wine previously so thought I'd give the red a go.

WOM stands for Word of Mouth, presumably (I guess I'm not up like the bargain bingo experts, I mean, lingo experts)

How is this a hot deal? This promotion (yes, promotion not deal) was on for weeks in other parts of the UK.

heat added!

might try this out!!

although there is only one vegetarian option :x

but it sounds like a pretty good deal, you couldn't get that at a restaurant for that price.

waitrose is england only, and this is a scotland only deal?

i am confused now!!!

EDIT: 2 Waitrose branches in Edinburgh I see..... Makes sense, Scotland's 2nd city is full of English anyway...
