On the menu at a m and s near you, feel the love

I dont get the appeal of these, the £10 meal is not enough for a complete meal and I dont drink alcohol.
#3
I'm happy! Any food from M&S gets my vote, particularly at a bargain price! Thank you for posting!
YumYUmYUMMY!!
#4
The lasagna they did on last weeks offer is highly recommended! VERY tasty :) Ohhh and the profitaroles :)
#5
Last weekend we had a chicken "piece" (which was almost half a chicken) with garlic and herb potatoes and a mound of profiteroles which we ate over two meals and a nice bottle of chardonnay. Can't grumble with that!

But the deal is for those of us who do like ALCOHOL.
So I don't really follow your point.

I don't think its aimed at alcohol drinkers - I still bought it when I was pregnant and hence not drinking & got a double pack of the OJ instead.

Plus I think its enough food provided you pick wisely! We got Pizza & Garlic ciabatta which was actually too much - yummy though!

Great deal although I'm informed Valentines day is sorted?!?!?!?!!!!!!
(May get it anyway - just in case!!)

I knew about the £20 one which is supposed to have champagne and a red rose?

To be honest I will probably just go in and buy 2 £10 meals as we have a £15 voucher for there so will only have to pay £5

Anyone know what the £15 one is though?
#18
Had the seabass last week...gorgeous! Hot!

i don't understand why people are voting on this without seeing the menu or what is on offer first... ? (i appreciate prior deals are good, but that does not mean this is good)

and for those who are "in it for the wine" - why not just buy a bottle surely its cheaper?

Yep Orange Juice twinpack is always an option. Dont save as much though so thats why its advertised with the bottle of wine.

Also the last weekend of this month the normal dine in for 10quid is on again from the last thursday of FEB till the 1st of March. What it said on the board in work today.

Oviously it is for the wine itself it ranges from 4.49 - 5.99 so for an extra fiver say, your getting a meal. Worth it

Have to say that IMHO the marlborough sauvignon blanc must be on its way to costing a tenner before we even look at the food, that would be my choice anyhow.

As usual, we vegetarians have a choice of just one Main and it's the cr**piest and cheapest offering on the list, a £2.99 nut roast.:x

Is this REALLY the best that M&S can do for a Vegetarian Valentine's Treat?

Would all M&S staff who are reading this, please tell your management teams that they are really p***ing off the veggies out here with their lousy ideas about innovative veggie food?

Do you really believe that we don't like/need/want imaginative food choices? Nut Roast is >>SO<< 1980s.

simple.... don't shop there if you don't like it.

It would be really nice to be able to enjoy this offer without having to spend an extra fiver, supplementing the unimaginative and cheap Main that is the only vegetarian offering, in order to achieve the same quality meal as you do with the basic choices. :?

i agree, i was looking at all the fancy, expensive meat eaters' choices (steak, lamb, duck) and thinking that we get a bit of a raw deal with only one choice (and it's nothing special).

i wonder if you actually save money getting the vegetarian option as it is nothing expensive whereas i would imagine the steak etc is?

oh well, the majority eat meat so i guess that's why things are as they are :x

Nah, some of my best friends are rabbits and they don't mind sharing their food but they do mind me eating their kin. ;-)

Oh and a statistic for all you footie fans, there are 6 times the number of vegetarians in England than there are people who regularly go to football matches.:w00t:

@Anjirocks If meat eaters really like their meat soooo much and that's why things are the way that M&S play them, perhaps the meat eaters can tell me why they always snaffle all the veggie food at parties, leaving nothing for us veggies?:giggle:

They could atleast do the veggie option CHEAPER.

Could you not have 'wafer' thin ham! I love the 'veggies' out there that eat chicken and fish :whistling:

Seriously though...look into the Waitrose or Tesco Extra Special meal deals, they may have more options for your 'proper' veggie.

How very romantic!

A ready meal dinner at home!

Cook a meal FFS! It'll mean a hell of a lot more.
