Good find, £13.22 cheaper than the Apple store :-D
good find!!!

just bring to anyones attention if they plan to upgrade. it's to with the firewall:

it's not to start a mac vs pc (this is being written on an old iBook) debate!!
Ubuntu FTW! Free software rules!
Just a word of caution for upgraders:

Not sure if Apple have sorted the problem yet...
As always, this is the first release of a brand new OS, so if you're not willing to be an 'early adopter', then just hold of until at least the first update to Leopard comes out (it will be called '10.5.1').

Personally, my experience has been almost completely flawless, considering how much of the OS has changed. Leopard is faster, has some nice little new features, and seems very stable indeed so far.

Oh, and great deal BTW!
As a long time Mac user, I'm just warning people that 10.5 really does have a few compatibility issues left to resolve.

Install it on another partition or external drive first to try it out...

I've spent a good few days trying to track down some issues and FAILED!! One in particular is a pixelated, sparkly screen when viewing dark (graphite) colours. It's perfect on 10.4 so not hardware. Using a Macbook Pro 2.33 C2D 17" in case anyone else has similar probs.
Paolo: Any fixes for your issues yet? I'm thinking of getting Leopard for my MBP 2.33 C2D 15"...

That makes very interesting reading, I also have Leopard and have witnessed this, I had put it down to my new Monitor (Samsung 206BW) not displaying greys/blacks very well but maybe not after reading this.

Is this a known issue on Mac Forums? - 10.5.1 hasn't fixed it so hopefully the next update will.

That aside it's a superb operating system, very pleased with it (have gone from 10.3 straight to this).

I haven't seen this, but I'm wondering if Apple have changed the way Macs dither for 6-bit panels in 10.5. Most non-CRT screens are actually 6-bit not 8-bit, so panels end up dithering to create the additional colours.

For example, when using the Silver colour scheme in XP on my MBP, the lightest grey in the Display Properties pop-up is clearly dithered.

The dithering ought to be panel dependent, not OS dependent, but if Apple updated the drivers then this could be a reason...

But I'm just speculating...
