Looks like a hot deal for me - I paid around £60 for the same about six months ago and thought that was cheap!!

The above description is incorrect. The correct memory for your MACBOOK or MACBOOK PRO is £21.42 (EVN CHEAPER!!!!) and can be found here:

With postage this comes out at £24 delivered.

Ahh well, they'll probably be down to twenty quid next month! Cheapest I've found anyway, and I think I might invest in 2Gb for my girlfriend's MAC - add it to the Xmas pressie list!

Yeah they just keep slipping. I didn't actually much more than this - just a few pounds more from Crucial.

That'll be the volitile Silicon market I suppose. You can often get a bargain in this area (shame you can't say the same about fuel! :)).

Apple UK incidentally, are charging £190 for 2 x 1Gb RAM. Nice.

Seems like a great price for a Macbook/Macbook Pro (or similar laptop) BUT THEY'RE THE WRONG TYPE OF MEMORY!!!!

Unless you've messed up the link - the memory you're pointing to is not 200pin SO-DIMM memory for laptops!! lol

With apologies - you're absolutely correct.

The right memory is this one:

and with Google Checkout's reduction comes down to £24.00

Sorry for confusion

You'll have seen that ebuyer themselves are doing it for (minus £10 google checkout) around £65....

I daresay you'll have more luck financially with ebay...where the going price looks to be around the £45-£50 mark. Obviously you pays your money...etc etc.

Hope this helps...

Could be a winner then..I notice that there's a voucher available (see vouchers - top right of this page) for 5% off anything at Crucial too. Last time I tried it worked, but not sure if its still active.

Good luck in any case.

tried it but came up as the same price as the normal link

I have a 15.4" MacBookPro which is about a year old
It currently has
2.16Ghz Intel Core Duo (not Core 2 Duo)
and 2Gb 667Mhz DDR2 SDRAM

Can the RAM be upgraded any higher? (ie. to 4Gb?)
From looking at Crucial's website, am I right in thinking the max is 2gb (1Gb x2)... so I can't upgrade my machine?

Your hunch is right. You can only upgrade to where you're at at the moment - 2Gb. The motherboard just doesn't support anything higher.

I believe the Mac Pros will take you up to 4Gb, possibly even 8Gb - but can't be certain about that.
