MacGregor Face Off Putter - The Perfect Marriage Of Technology & Classical Design!

'Distance Control' and 'Face Off' are two of the amazing technologies that come as standard on these stunning MacGregor putters.

Interchangeable faces give every golfer the desired choice of feel and responsiveness at impact, whilst the DCT technology ensures that even off-centre strikes still travel the perfect distance - meaning more holed putts!

Good reviews. I haven't used it but have a putter from their last series that is great.
I've used the site a few times and they're very good.

I'm sure this deal won't last for long - MacGregor putters are usually only reduced for a tiny window before they release their new model.

I know for most golfers a £129 putter is serious overkill but for £22 it's cheaper than a lot of budget options.

Was £129

I wonder how many they sold at that price? Choice between a Scotty Cameron or a MacGregor, wonder how many will go for the MacGregor.......

Not a bad deal for the weekend golfer though.....

just a heads up. these are right handed only. I rang them to get one for my dad for christmas.

heat added though

£129 isn't overkill for a putter, the short game is where any golfer saves/loses the most shots.

People think nothing of spending double that on a driver that you will use at most 10 times a round, you will use your putter at least 3 times, if not 4 as often as that.

Yeah but these cost a fiver or less to manufacture so £129 is taking the pee.

If you don't mind paying sponsorhip money to golf pros then maybe you'll think £129 is a fair price:p

Yeah, it's that old cobblers - state a high RRP then massively "discount" it. It's a £5 putter being sold for £20.

Does that put it into perspective as a "bargain"?:p

MacGregor don't have many tour pros on their books, down to the fact most of there gear is poor.....

As I said, this is fine for the weekend golfer but if you think you are getting a genuine £129 putter then think again.....

Normally most people try a club before they buy it, especially with a putter as different weights/shapes suit different people. Not much point buying it then finding out it doesn't suit you.....

Well I still think this is a good value putter. I may not bond with it straight away, but I'll happily get used to it, (especially when it's £22!). I can't think of many putters going for this price. I tend to adjust to whatever.

I do take your point konky, but I'm a cheapskate at heart man... and I'm still learning the game. I'm sure the original pricetag has been beefed up, but fairplay to mission for pointing this deal out. Anyhow, there are a few directgolf shops out there. You could probably try the putter out there. I'd rather grab this metal stick while I have the chance :-)

Badmutha 5,

This is not a bad bit of kit and a bargain at £22.00. This putter got a 4 out 5 star rating from Todays Golfer so it can't be that 'Poor' !!

I used a Macgregor Bobby Grace V foil for a while and I had no problems at all and I believe that Vijay used to have a Macgregor putter in his bag a few years ago.

Thanks Kidda. Trust me I am well chuffed with this purchase. I know this putter will last me for the rest of my days. Cheers for the link to the review. I know I can easily adapt to whichever club I get. I've mentioned this putter to a few people, and I have been told by most (mainly die hard golfers), that you have to try a range of putters before you pick one. I agree, but at the same time, I'd rather worry about my skills instead of the tools, (which ain't so great at the moment :-()

Your skills aint going to develop with a putter that doesn't fit your posture or give you confidence. The only way you can check that is to try before you buy.

Sure you may luck out and find this is your new best pal and as far as deals go the savings are good. That doesn't mean to say its the ideal putter for you......
