Great film starring the brilliant Christian Bale!

Having not slept for a year, lathe operator Trevor Reznick (Christian Bale - The Dark Knight, The Prestige, Batman Begins) is dying of insomnia. Why he can't sleep, he can't remember. His every waking minute has become an unrelenting nightmare of confusion, paranoia, guilt, anxiety and terror; each of which is part of an escalating series of clues that will lead him to the source of his mysterious affliction...

Method actor Christian Bale, who favours total immersion in the roles he plays, lost an astonishing 63 pounds from his already lean frame in order to convey the shockingly gaunt physique of the main character. Exhausting in his preparation, close to the point of permanent physical damage, Bale is the centrepoint of this extraordinary film.

Good film.

I was hoping this would drop in price, but as it was a fairly new release I wasn't expecting it to fall to this. Great find.

Wanted to cook him a big slap-up meal when I watched this film! :)
Great actor, good film (though think a little overrated)

Worth noting that after Bale lost all that weight he had to pile it all back on again (and then some) for Batman Begins within monthes.

Good film BTW :D

Really good film, not sure about the ending.

Apparently Bale ate a bowl or rice and an apple every day for 6 months. Think his weight dropped to about 8 stone for the film.

Great film and rather disturbing too. Not a film for silly people or if your head is full of mince.

Can't comment on this release as I have the US disc.

Loved this movie :-)8

Not the most amazing film in the world, but Bale's performance hasn't really been bettered if only in a physical sense - which watching it, is probably a good thing.

Would not like to see Bale's ribs in HD
