I've been looking for a Maclaren buggy and this is the cheapest I've seen them. The Quest ones are £108 if you use the 10% of £60 spend voucher ( code = FDPF73). Also can get another 3.5% back with Quidco and 960 Boots points!

The Maclaren triumph in pink is less than £80 with the 10% voucher!

In which case, you are better off looking after them properly!

Speaking as someone who had a couple of fingertips removed at the age of 3 - thankfully with one sown back on - I don't imagine that mclaren buggies are any more dangerous than a hinged door.

It was the gap in the hinges that did it for me.

Oh, the best looked after kids can still get hurt - what a stupid statement "In which case, you are better off looking after them properly!" is.

No less stupid than 'I like my children's fingertips thanks!' to try and blame their childrens accident on McLaren!

You are quite right - well said.

It has been well publicised that these buggies have caused many "fingertip" injuries both here and in the U.S. so on that note safety kit or not I wouldn't personally consider purchasing at this buggy I'd rather find one that that isn't in need of a safety kit to begin with!

All the press about the "fingertips" is probably the reason these buggies are on offer!!!

should have them put up for sale for half price

I have not heard of any other buggy chopping finger tips off and hearing the story of just £80 voucher was horrible.

COLD

a deal for a known product which hurts children, anything can hurt children but the chances are much higher with this buggy.

Yaay just had mine delivered and it looks fab! I have to say that there are other buggys which are also safety risks. Last week the One Show highlighted Bugaboo Bees for having faulty brakes which the manufacturer was failing to tell customers! I think that as with all things in life you have to be cautious. For example I always keep my child away when I'm setting up/ putting away the buggy. I also have a Phil and Ted and it has hinges where little fingers can get trapped if parents aren't alert enough to keep their kids away when folding/setting up the pram etc
