For those of you who will moan about the fact that it is not on dvd/blu-ray, please realise that this is one of the rare occasions where a show is cheaper on a direct download format. Embrace the technology, in 20 years time we'll wonder why the hell we ever bothered with physical media in the first place!

What happens if your hard drive blows up?

So you need a backup, which could be a dvd that wouldn't also blow up for whatever reason. Now I like the idea that I can access all my films at once, but I'd have to back up 1000s of dvds. So apart from space, there isn't a huge bonus here. What if you get a power surge while creating the back up and fuse both drives?

I didn't vote yet btw. Personally I like a tactile experience of owning something. It's too early days for this technology I think.

...Stick with DVD's to be safe?

What if your DVD's get scratched? Stick with VHS cassette tapes to be safe?

What if your house burns down and all your VHS cassette tapes burn? What then? Do we stop buying things because of the possibility of a disaster?

If the house goes so would the hard drives anyway. This product is too virtual.

Yes but so would the dvds. So really that point doesnt stand. I buy all my music as mp3s nowadays as all my music ends up on my comp/ipod touch anyway, cases are just becoming a waste of space in my house.
