Found Series 2 even more compelling than the first. Ended up watching it in 2 sessions!

If you haven't seen it, buy this quick and get caught up while you have the chance.

With a malfunctioning Freeview recorder and 13 episodes to see in order, I'm surprised anyone can be bothered with the TV rather than buying the DVD and flogging on eBay

this post should have been titled:

Mad Men: Series One (3-DVD set) 12.99 @ Play

12.98 at amazon, of course no quidco.

More bland glossy American rubbish. Little wonder UK TV companies don't bother to make decent shows when they can import this sort of trash for a fraction of the price.

Well to add my bit,Recorded the whole first season and sat down to watch it over a few days, and never got to the second day, By the end of the fourth episode I never had a clue what was going, couldn't tell you what it was about, and could not for the life of me see a story anywhere, and so deleted it, which I don't do often.

I've been thinking about watching this because of the actress Christina Hendricks. Wowza! Will I be entertained by the scenes she isn't in?

same as babylon i watched a couple of episodes but couldn't get into it so stopped. saying that i did the same with the wire before picking up the dvd and realising the awesomeness of that. so i may have to pick this up on the off chance it's as awesome as people rave.

A fantastic series and it is simulcast on BBC HD tonight which only adds to the enjoyment. This is a high quality programme and won a stack of awards for its first season and I have no doubt the second will be just as high quality.

Heat added.

He has signed up to pen the third series, which was the proviso the network wanted before committing to the project. for a 3rd season.

Certainly have and I stand by my opinion that it's lowest common denominator American rubbish. If you like characters with no depth, plots with no substance and actors valued more for their ability to look pretty than act by all means buy this, but for anyone with a bit of intelligence it fails on all levels.
