Good price for the headset and voted hot for the price.

But the PS3 and game voice chat don't really go together, I would recommend anyone considering using a headset with PS3 games online try and get a go off someone who has a Blu-tooth headset (I have the official Sony One)) before they purchase, you may be very disappointed with the quality.

Ill second that, chat on PS3 game play is pretty awful!
the official one is the best one imho
I have the official one and it makes no difference because so many people are using sub standard bargain bucket £2 type blu-tooth sets.

If you have the official one how do you find the mute beeping full blast in your ear every 10 secs that you can't switch off ?, it just makes my experience of online chat even worse than it already is.

Change the record man.
All games (other than MotorStorm:PR) allow you to individually mute so no need to use the mute button. For a start off why would you mute people for extended periods of time and keep the headset in your ear? pointless.
If people have crap headsets and they are people you regularly play with, tell them, because they may not be aware. I've done that on several occasions, now all my friends have good, clear headsets.
The message is for people who have not yet tried using online gamechat and should try it before they buy so they can get to hear what it's like,

EDIT: Actually I have deleted my reply to your "mute everyone" type comments (Kind of defeats the point of having a headset though)

As I think this self confessed PS3 fanboy explains it best -

It's all to do with choice, you can use virtually any blutooth headset on the market, some people are just tight i suppose. The PS3 not including a headset in the box is hardly a dealbreaker, the 360 may come with one but you don't get WiFi, Blu-Ray, HDD so on and so forth.
I'm sure that if enough people complained about the beep, they would be able to switch it off with a firmware update?
