Mafia 2

Born the son of a poor immigrant, Vito is a beaten down Italian American who is trying to secure his piece of the American Dream. Looking to escape the life of poverty that consumed his childhood, Vito is soon swayed by the lure of power and wealth that a life of Organized Crime can bring.

A petty criminal his whole life, Vito, along with his childhood friend, Joe, will descend into the world of Organized Crime. Together, they will work to prove themselves to the Mob as they try to make their names on the streets of a cold and unforgiving city.

Like the original Mafia title, Mafia 2 immerses players in the mob underworld of a fictitious late 1940's / early 1950's scenario. The game engages you in a cinematic Hollywood movie experience in with believable characters in a living, breathing city, fusing high octane gunplay with white knuckle driving and an engaging narrative. Mafia 2 looks to be the industry's most compelling Mafia title to date.

Decent game this. Probably worth it for that price too, Real nice story with average gameplay so a hot deal imo

So tempted, the demo was amazing, couldn't stop playing.

I enjoyed it, but theres nothing to do outside of the Story missions. So once completed dont expect alot of replay value.

Is it sort of similar to GTA4?

kind of, but nowhere near as immersive. feels rather empty compared to GTA, and the city, despite looking great isnt really used to its full potential. i bought it and sold it on after a week. i felt it was a big letdown. cut scenes were good though.

Well, I get your point. GTA4 was the best game that I've played...

I am wondering if they are going to release any new version soon...

LA Noire is by Rockstar, it's basically set in the same times as Mafia 2 so you can imagine it's gonna be epic. :D

Good game just very short, good cut scenes and story but without them gameplay wise its probably only like 7hrs long. The shooting mechanics of this game is great but unfortunately not enough shooting missions, the game looks great though. Like someone said above the game feels very empty and if you see the list thats going about online showing what was cut from the final build of the game makes you feel devastated it could of been so good. Basically its definitely worth a play through but just Rent it for a weekend your be done with it, theres no repay value even on hard difficulty its real easy.

good price but gonna hold out for when it goes under a tenner
