Hot, good price

Looks a very good game. Anyone played it?
#3
I've played it over a friends house. It's great fun, much different from Call of Duty. Requires teamwork and communication but is a rewarding, unique and enjoyable experience!
#4
I had the beta, I enjoyed it, it not a MW2 type of game, slower but more action

£19.98 with postage!

Good price, but it's not the greatest game. If you want teamwork and big battles, go for BFBC2.

It's by no means bad, there are just better games out there. The 256 player count is a bit of a gimmick as battles are split up into smaller areas, so you end up with fairly standard sized teams in those areas.

Heat added though, as this looks to be the cheapest you can get it new!

I bought it for £40 in tescos a couple of weeks after release, played it a little bit got bfbc2 and haven't touched it since.

BFBC2?
#12
battlefield bad company 2.

I was considering buying a PS3 for this game, but someone told me however good of a concept the game was, the maps were just too big, and campers are prominent, which sucks.
#14
Great game, not one for the MW2/BC2 run and gun kiddies who are unable to work as a team.

It's a good idea to make sure you have a headset too.

Best FPS of the gen.

he6rt6gr6m, Maps are fine, not big at all because there's so many players, pretty much no campers aswell.

From the demo/beta i played, i enjoyed it, totally different to your COD style gameplay as said, much more similar to BFBC2 in its feel.

Hard to say anything else since it was just the beta i played, but my experience of it was that the teams were much more spread out across the map that you rarely had huge amounts of people around 1 area. There also seemed to be alot of running back into the action which took far more time than it should. Having said that, i didnt like it to begin with, but after playing for a couple of hours, i started to enjoy it alot more.

Been a long time coming that it dropped in price!

Although you could, in my experience that was very rare. Most games were spreadout to the point that it felt about as populated as a BFBC2 match.

As for the claims that this is far more team based than BFBC2, then clearly you've not played in a well organised and communicative team - the Battlefield series are known to be some of the most team focused games you can get. The only game I can think of on the PS3 that focuses on teams more heavily would be SOCOM Confrontation.

Complete rubbish. If you camp on this, you die! The maps are the right size for 256 players!! There are different game modes, and different size maps. If your friend went straight into a Domination game, yes, it would have been off putting. This is a great game and I'm on it an awful lot.

It's a team game, everyone works together for a common objective, and in the larger games, you all have you part to play in the overall platoon. It's fast, unlike the comment above, and the online community is massive still and the forums very active. It's a game, that, unlike others, the more you put in, the more you get out of it, as your skills, weapons and understanding of tactics grows, the more you play it.

You get more out of it by using a mic (and no, its not full of kids mucking around in them) as you can ask questions, talk to your squad and get better help and assitance from it.

Great gaem, great price, heat added. Also, look out for it at around this price (Preowned) in most BlockBusters
