Ok, bit of a cheeky one, but it saved me some money. It will probably be voted cold by some but here goes.

Ikea sell heavy duty cardboard carriers for customers purchasing glasses, mugs and plates. It stores magazines just fine (see picture) and the only thing better than 1p is free! May be useful for students and I'm sure creative types with a spare tin of paint and some imagination could transform it into something far more eyecatching than simply practical. Shoe storage, towels, toys, folders... The possibilities for use are... limited...

Found in the cookware section of the marketplace near the cups, glasses and plates. Not available online, but no need to release the geese. I've included the store of purchase just in case. http://i68.tinypic.com/otk9af.jpg

I can put magazines in any of the free cardboard boxes I get with so many of the products I buy. This one looks just as ugly as they do. Why would I want to pay for it?
