Already posted and you can get these £5.99 in any good petrol station

Original maglite for £5.99 in a petrol station !!!!!
#4
price of these olde fashioned torches has dropped due to loads of cheap led ones which can be bought for a few pound and are brighter ..... and get replaced frequently as you get what you pay for
however cant beat a maglite ... buying to replace my 9 year old one which gave up the ghost after nearly daily use at work

Should get your facts right before posting rubbish like that

MagLites are really in a totally different league to the rubbish sold on petrol station forecourts. I had my MiniMag for over 10 years, and it only 'broke' because a battery swelled up in the barrel and jammed itself in. I replaced it with a MiniMag LED 3W, which cost a small fortune but are the dog's danglies. Very much recommended.

you can pick up a much better light from dealextreme.com for about the same price. it is very bright takes 1xAA and the build quality is excellent, i have two of them!

This is still a great deal if you specifically want a maglight though! Heat added.

Brilliant torch. Superior to the cheap Chinese ones sold on dealextreme - I have both types.

In build quality only, the DealExtreme LED flashlights are brighter.

Bought one the other day when it was linked to in Edi's other maglite offer, it turned up today, suprisingly bright for such a small bulb.

Godd torches but the dealexetreme ones are better value.

Great price..... HOT
At one time you could not get this torch anywhere under £15. Obviously LED torches has made them not so in demand.

I've had one for about 15 years, bought it on my first trip to the US and it is very well made and has a very powerful focused beam. Recently bought a 9 LED mini torch from LED Shoppe and it was surprisingly good for $3, aluminium construction and very bright.
