Good price but this is tiny!

A nice object, but old technology. Put in the shade by LED torches, which are brighter and easier on batteries.

Beware, the LED lovers will slate this deal and a decent alternative is:

I have both and the Maglite is pitiful in comparison of lighting performance terms and the Fenix is well worth paying the extra £2.50 odd for. Build quality on the Fenix is also significantly better than the Maglite - my Maglite lasted less than a year on the keychain before I had to make some engineering modifications with tin-foil to get it working again. But if you're after the Maglite then it's a good price - heat added!

Rubbish light output.

It's amazing that the mini Maglite could be even less powerful than the 10 lumen fenix. Single Cree LEDs can produce 200 lumens.

Not worth it. Maglite technology used to be at the forfront but not any more. Poor light output. Spend a few £'s more and get a better torch

The Led Lenser P7 for a few pound more is far better.

Apparently from previous posts, Dealextreme is the the cheapest place to buy THIS torch in the UK - purchase it and you will not, honestly, be disappointed...

You're wasting your breath. You'd think that people on here would be savvy enough to see through brand names, but no, they go weak at the knees for every piece of rubbish with "Maglite", "Duracell" or "Sony" on it. :-D

Im always a bit sceptial about buying goods from Hong Kong - are Dealextreme goods legit?
#15
There are millions of opinions about DealExtreme out there - why don't you search instead of asking the same question again? But I have ordered quite a few bits and pieces with no problem so far.
#16
i have one, and it is rubbish compared to the light from my phone - do not get!
#17
Maglite quality for a fiver! Hot from me, may not be as bright as an LED torch but you get a lifetime guarantee with this, much better than the tat from Taiwan!

Millions eh? Maybe I wanted the view of a HUKD buyer......wish I'd never asked now. :x

Note to myself: I MUST Google everything in future to avoid upsetting folk.

So you simply add "site:hotukdeals.com" to your Google search query instead of expecting to be spoon-fed the answer.
Note to myself: I MUST Google everything in future to avoid upsetting folk.
If you don't understand the difference between frequently asked questions and genuinely unanswered questions then that's a pretty good note to yourself indeed.

Give me tat from Taiwan any day rather than being lumbered with such a seriously compromised device as this.

I somehow can't see you claiming on the "lifetime guarantee".
#23
Sadly now skip fodder due to new technology.

Its a bit like having a lifetime warranty on high quality paraffin lamp.

The low price benefit will soon be lost with the batteries it will eat while offering less light that the equivalent LED.

Ah, but it's Maglite... mmmmm
