Good price for a Maglite XL50, would make a good Christmas present. I know it's not a good as some of the other manufacturers (fenix etc) but for the price can't go to far wrong.

3 modes
1 quick click: high power,
2quick clicks: 25% power,
3 quick clicks: emergency safety strobe

Compact, pocket sized design
Spot-to-flood' adjustable LED beam
Anodised for corrosion resistance and durability
Comes in presentation box

Allegedly 104 lumens (read on amazon) from fresh batteries, unregulated power supply so expect rapid drop off. ..ok for basic back up use imho.

the chinese make ultrafire do a 3-mode 300lumes led that doesnt need 3x expensive AAA batteries, just 1AA 9and you can get cheap rechargeable ones now and that is £3.00 delivered (from china but you get it in 3 weeks latest) so I wouldn't say this is a hot deal but if you like the make then it's okay.

Not exactly the same is it? I'm sure you can get a lot of cheap copies of products in China, but sometimes people like to buy a trusted brand from a UK based company which will deliver before Christmas. You're not really comparing apples with apples here.
