Does this taste the same as the bottles? I'm a bottle only snob for larger and "concerned" about the effect on the delicate flavour.

Got a couple this afternoon and looking around it looked like every trolly had at least one crate in it
so i doubt it will last long :p

Great price nearly 62.5p per pint, borderline 'Trampfuel' white cider prices

Nice stuff too if it's NOT got 1/2 pint of ice watering it down ;-)

I had just picked up a box of the Magners and I saw a young lady in a bright yellow T-Shirt clearly employed by Asda moving swiftly before me and telling me not to buy that! Knowing I am a little over weight I thought she was recomending not buying alcohol as it is detremental to my health. She then persuaded me to approach her collegue at a promotional stand who was menacingly brandishing a pack of 12 bottles of Bulmers. They then proceeded to tell me how much better a deal the bulmers was because it was only 70p a bottle but a full pint or 568ml to those only operating in metric rather than the Magners mere 500ml. They then proceeded to offer me a small sample of Bulmers, which I felt obliged to drink and I confirmed their claims it was very nice. While i was under the influence of cider they removed the Magners from my trolley and added the 12 bottles of Bulmers to it and thrust 12 invividual 50p discount vouchers in my hand. I then proceeded to the till there the transaction was completed and 12 bottle of Bulmers were aquired for £8.40. When I returned home I was concerned that the Bulmers was actually more expensive that the Magners, but a simple calculation confirmed that the cost per ml was the same.

Do you think I should boycott Asda for this mugging or just relax, throw some ice in a glass and pour one of those Bulmers over the ice and drink it slowly. Hotukdeal users advice please?

I can never understand the hype about this brand of cider it is rubbish. I would not drink it if they gave it away!

LOL!!! World class sarcasm! :-D Rep given. It's nice to see that not everybody has been suckered by the marketing.

Is this the shelf price, or does it require a voucher?

The reason the marketing encourages people to chill it and drink it over ice is so that people can't actually taste what its really like. Rather like the near identical cheap-to-produce lagers that are sold under different brands.

Mucky sweet fizzy pop from a test tube dipped in Suphates and sugar and rubbed up against an Apple!

Put your hand in your pocket and buy a decent bottle of Westons - life is too short for bad cider!
#26
Tightmartin.........the only advice (as asked for) for you is 'drink it slowly'....I think not.
Got 20 quidsworth yesterday and another 30 today (all of which are for my other half ...not me..doh!) Asda are selling 8 cans for 5 quid at one end of the store and 4 cans for 5.98 at the other.
So, regardless of whether it tastes as bad as those that can be bothered to **** it off in this thread ( I never could understand those types). It's a bargain.
If you want a decent pint of cider, get a life, get off of here and go to the pub....otherwise - buy a load of this in.

Oh dear ........go to the pub? Good idea - spend £3 on a pint and spend it with the type of person who writes post like that - nah I will stick with the Asda stuff.
