Looked decent quality as well; was messing around on one last week, didn't feel like it would fall to pieces first time you got up any speed/momentum - asda living £19.00 (5% credit card discount) ... winner!

I bought one of these 2 weeks ago for £35 and they are excellent. Really sturdy and look they cost £100 quid upwards. Superb deal.
#12
High quality rubber belt for durability.

Belt? I don't think magnetic exercise bikes have belts. It must be a flywheel one.

Magnetic exercise bikes retail for about £100.
#13
Had these in the Peterborough Branch. My mother brought one!!
#14
Got one from the Asda down here in Tamworth...and there were a massive stack left.
Hope it's ok...saying that as long as the pedals go round what more could you ask for £20 hey?

Cheers

I agree, although a real magnetic exercise bike will probably last longer and be more comfortable to use.

Odd spec, belt or magnetic is normally an either or option, either its belt braked or magnetic braked. Unless it just means belt driven not braked. Also does it have a flywheel? I assume it does, otherwise what would the belt be driving?

If it has no flywheel then just don't bother, without it produces an unnatural action, those types of bikes you normally see stacked in the metal skip at your local tip.

Still some stock in Queensferry apparently, bargain prices these!

Yawn! oh are you still talking....ITS £20 WHAT DO YOU EXPECT??? its probably made from coke cans and bits of old tyres.

One of the cheapest ways known to man (or woman) to clutter the garage. Bet it won't get used after the first two weeks - month at the outside!

Good price.

Was £35 in my local :-(

Sorry but you are very wrong. The belt runs like a chain on a pedal bike. It links the wheel attached to the pedal axle, to the magnetic resistance wheel (which will have its own internal flywheel as part of the assembly)
You get what you pay for with these lower budget bikes. With my last one its started playing up just out of warranty (horrible grating noise and then seized up).
Ended up buying a better built model from JJB 1/2 price in sale.

Does not look £100 worth to me, but for 20 notes this ones worth the gamble

So Hot.

Hi all...

I brought one of these at £35 about 3 weeks ago....i wanted one to help strengthen my leg back up from an ACL operation last year...

I know a lot of people will say "well what do you expect at £35" but i ended up taking this back cos i thought it was rubbish...I built it up...sat on it then after 30 seconds thought "sod this" and took it all apart again to box it up and back it went lol

I hate exercise bikes that are really difficult to pedal cos they seem to "jerk" all the time and this was one of those....

I ended up paying £70 for a DOYMOS one from Decathlon at Merry Hill in Birmingham....far superior to this one, very smooth in comparison and i'd recommend it anyday...

So i'll probably get ribbed here but im only trying to help someone save there money...

Loads in Asda Benton, bought the wife one as she's put a bit of beef on. Description is magnetic bike, however this refers to the new high tech magnetic brake system, also states high quality rubber belt for durability, adjstable tension for variable resistance and computer monitor.
#33
Anyone figured out how to change the monitor from KM to miles? - the broken englash instructions don't tell you

Hi fellas
the debate going on here over
beefy wives is kind of
asking for some kind of debate,
possibly a debate amongst
the masses?
