These things should SERIOUSLY BE BANNED!! they are way to dangerous the strength of the magnets can kill a child easily if swallowed, they can destoy organs and instestines. Seen another doc online about them and like 25% of the magnet were easily removed by even a 4 year old (who was supervised), they even found copy imported ones to be of better quality (dont go buying these either still poor)

please dont by your kids these unless you watch them every second they play with then which is unlikey by anyone standards so just dont bother

The company just done care about the kids at all, just search Magnetix dangers in google and have a read of the horror stories.

No offence to the OP but this post thread should be deleted for safety grounds.

I think there are quite a few countrys on the way to banning these and thats why all of a sudden they have gone so cheap.

From your own link:

However, the company apparently redesigned these toys to encase the magnets in plastic.
I bought the set that were reduced at Christmas for my 6 year old granddaughter & have no concerns over them whatsoever. But then again, I don't subscribe the the McCann school of parenting/supervision.....

Most items have the potential to be dangerous. It is up to the purchaser to conduct a risk assessment.

you have to buy buy loads to make something big. you can buy the big magnets for small children !

Main danger are the small parts but this product is For ages 6 years and over.

These are a really good idea, but not if there are small siblings in the house. Also if a large creation is made, the magnetism is so strong it often collapses, which is frankly devastating. Ours were donated away after causing more tears than joy.
