has been updated since many reviews.....the equivilant is mBox-Hotmail and is £5.99 so this is a great price....
the details

Yup :?

I'd rather just use the one that comes with the phone, instead of having two mail apps

Not through the Mail App - this requires a professional Hotmail account (one which is paid for) to get all the settings configured. Access to Hotmail is limited to through Safari without any 3rd party App

Will give this a shot...thx

Thats a bit outdated now mate as Hotmail have allowed Pop3 access to everyone for a while now. I googled it at xmas when my wife got an LG Cookie and set hers up on there too through POP3.

I got an iPhone a few weeks back and added my Hotmail to the main screen App no probs (limited usage as per the point of this deal but works all the same), i just put in my Hotmail details and it automatically configured all the settings itself - think i chose 'other' on the add email screen.

Many thanks for that! Didn't know this was the case.

I have set up my Hotmail account now through the Mail App, but only have access to the inbox (and not sent, drafts, trash etc). Is this the norm?

**EDIT**
just realised you may be talking aboutt the iPhones mail app which does only show Inbox, Trash and Sent show up if you've sent/deleted mails from within the app.. The info below i wrote thinking you meant the MailPro app.

Nope :-( , downloaded it this afternoon as the full access was so appealing, once i'd put in my username and pass it connected then came up as confirmed after which all of my folders were listed and it updated them.

Maybe do a google and see if you can find anyone else thats had the same problem as mine seems to sync nicely no matter if i use hotmail on my pc or phone.

Your right - my query was related to iPhones Mail App. It appears you have downloaded the MailPro App - would you recommend it? Reviews are very mixed! Thanks

So far so good mate, it links well with my main hotmail account and its nice to have all my folders accesible and my email contacts. The OPs main post above has a bit where it states
- composing emails (no picture attachments yet)
but this has now been implemented so the version i have has a picture email option.

The only thing i don't like is that when i go onto it and it syncs theres no popup or even maybe a change in colour of the number on your inbox or similar showing you have a new mail, i tend to glance at the number of unread mails i have then see if it changes after the update.
Not a bad bunch of features for the 59p really.

I'll give it a whirl. Thanks for your help!
