Very hot. These are normally £1 - £1.50 each

GU10 and GZ10 are very different.

The GU10 are designed to emit most of their by-product heat through the front of the lamp, down into the room, away from the ceilingspace.

The GZ10 are designed to allow most of the generated heat back into the light fitting.

So make sure you buy the CORRECT bulb for your light fitting. You don't want to melt the light fitting and/or start a fire in your ceiling space!

Nice Spot...Hot!

And...If you are not close to a Screwfix, Tesco were doing these this week for £1 for two in their 'Bargain' boxes. Cant beat 39p.....but at 50p each may be worth getting a couple if you want to avoid postage.

don't know how these perform, but cheaper halogen lights don't always last long (esp. nowhere near their stated 1000s of hours). it's often a case of buy cheap, buy twice.

i've also been unimpressed with screwfix own brand things: often of inferior quality to more expensive equivalents. not knocking screwfix totally because they're still a cheap source for many items.

a bargain yeah but try to go for branded lamps if you can Osram / GE / Philips as these are cheap inferior chinese imports that blow after a few hours burning time
we buy from the same supplier as screwfix and knock em out 50p or 3 for £1 , most people will pay the extra for a reliable branded lamp , better still go for LED or Compact fluorescents from a company called megaman they last for upwards of 10 years and are only around £8 a pop

Wilkinson has 2 for £1 I think.
