I am quite sure the arbor & holesaws are worth more than half the total price.

So you are getting still more than any other deal on here at half the money.

Its a good price. Very good in fact.

Makita bits are very good quality to.

I have about 30 of them. Mainly SDS though to be fair.

Thanks i have been looking out for someone, I knew Makita was good but i wasnt sure on the bits etc

Cheap price BUT... the tools are also cheap, they are not anywhere near the usual standard of makita e.g. drills... These tools are the equivalent of Argos own brand.

ok for a DIY set that will be used once in a blue moon, but not good enough for a tradesman.

All said.... still a great find for £20

I don't rate the makita tool bits at all. But Makita power tools are very good.

If you look closely the masonry bits look like the pound shop ones. The majority of the kit is screwbits of various types. I couldn't finfd tthe sizes of the holesaws, so don't know if they are of usefull sizes. Great for a back up or light diy use for fidling around, but not for everyday pro use.

Thank you thesesetsbymakitaarecrap.

If you look as close at the holesaws as you did the drill bits you will see that the holesaw sizes are on the box. ;)

Why would Makita put its name on rubbish if that's what they are? Commercial suicide!

Surely if the accessories were inferior they wouldnt be able to get away with selling them.

You mean legally, or commercially? Could be as simple as the UK brand owner/importer slapping the name on some cheaper stuff they import from China to make a few quid from the naive. Short term strategy though. I'm not saying this is fact but it happens on numerous products, possibly under pricing pressure from multiples like B&Q.

Hi Kroozing i would use Bosch, Hilti. Dewalt or Heller.

Thanks for that.
