So this warrants the deal as cold !

This is not a supermarket or Argos drill it is a professional drill and i would ask anyone to find it cheaper elsewhere.

I have had cheaper drills and the cheaper Nickel batteries they do not last but if you look at the reviews of the people who have bought this item you will see yourself why this a a hot deal.

Maybe if i found a supermarket brand for a few quid that would be a good deal i don't think so , a waste of money i would say and not a good buy.

I posted this as it is the lowest price you can buy this quality drill at the moment and thanks to the op who posted the 10% voucher makes it that much more of a great price for a quality item.

Can you direct me to where it is cheaper please and Makita is one of the best name brands in drill and i would like to know where you got the idea Makita not that good.
Did you read the 9 page review on screwfix of the people who own this drill surley they all can't be wrong.

I think you are talking the old discontinued model without the LITHIUM battery and the 20 min charger.

looks like someone has swallowed the lithium-ion marketing hook line and sinker! Shame on you

lithium-ion marketing? Please. I've been using NiMh for years and thought they were brilliant then swapped over to Li-ion because they are lighter (which makes a big difference when you are hefting a drill up a ladder all day long), last longer, have more power, and recharge quicker. If that's marketing then I'm sold.

Still, not voted hot because it really does need two batteries. The combi set with the impact driver for about 270 pounds is a better deal in my opinion.

But this is good. Only brand better than Makita is Panasonic IMHO

I can not see the point in posting negative comments like " It would be better with 2x batteries " of course it would or even 3 batteries but that is never going to happen at the price it is advertised for.

I have not posted a deal on here for a while........ now you know why ,

You cold voters why not as above leave your comments on why it is COLD instead of hiding behind your keyboard and just hitting the blue minus button , if you have seen it cheaper elsewhere i would love to have the link or if you have had this model before and it has let you down again let me know.

All that matters to me is i have purchased this drill and i think it,s brill the feel of it the weight and balance is just right and the battery seams to last for ever.

they're upset that woolies has closed,
no more 48v drills with 5 batteries and 10 hour charger for £5

I paid £150 for this drill a few months ago and it is absolutely fantastic, used everyday and hasn't let me down once! Why on earth someone would want 3 batteries escapes me, when it dies down, stick it in the charger for 20 minutes, make a coffee, drink it, then go and get your drill again - job done ! HOT DEAL
