I'm sure their strategy will work well with the wet weekend ahead across the country.
No doubt there'll be huge queue's and all stock will vanish within minutes of the doors opening. Should be a half decent drill if you get one though.
#11
Don't forget no 2 stores will be the same, they all have different lists of stock. It is being set up on Sunday and will be ready for Monday the 4th, but a lot of the stores will have to much stock to display all at once, best stuff may come out first. This will be advertised on tv some time this week, so it will be no secret.

staff can only buy for own use so maximum of 1 with their 20% discount
#13
Good prices if we get a chance to get hold of anything.
#14
May head down on my way to work, thanks.
#15
Will they be advertised on the shelf or do you have to go to the counter and ask ??

Highly unlikely that staff will get discount on these.

These deals are very limited stock, there are no deliveries in, they are all discontinued stock the stores are stuck with.
prices are around cost, quite often below cost.
The prices will be active on the tills so staff should get discount.
The stock will be in the area known as the lay flat, it's where garden furniture is currently.
5 weeks to shift it all, and there's loads.
my store alone has 45 pallets so far ready to go.
#18
Hope i get one

is this a hammer drill ?

I wondered that, if the drill is this one: LINK it is.
#21
My local store had a few of these the other day and I nearly bought one at £89. Glad I waited. And judging by the tiny picture of a hammer on the selector ring, I would say this does have hammer action, although hammer action on these sort of battery drills is not a huge amount of use. It will manage reasonably soft bricks, but nothing harder
#22
Is this in ireland too by any chance op?
#23
I was going to buy one of those today, I might just wait a few more days.
#24
Won't hold my breath, but will have a look. Thats if I don't forget, deal is nearly a week away!

Neither of those are the drill.
They are the newer models.
The items in clearance are not current lines, they are discontinued.
saying that they are likely almost exactly the same.
The lists are massive, I have seen pages worth of appliances at cost, a kitty playhouse for 75, pages and pages of taps etc.
but it's different in each store, better to go along and see what's in your local store rather than focus on one line.
#26
great price!! cheers!!

model number matches, I was looking at the bar code which doesn't.
I'll check it when I get into work, if this is the one there should be decent stock.

Although battery size is different op said 1.3ah. That link is 1.5ah

Stock in my local of that one so will swing by on my way to work Monday as it's about 30 seconds up the road.
#30
I notice that the drill with the same model number is showing as having 1.5Ah li-ion battery so a bit better as well. I will be trying to get my paws on one of these as they will be good enough for DIY anyway.
#31
I have an SDS drill for proper jobs so the hammer bit doesn't really bother me, I just want this for basic stuff.
#32
The title is a bit misleading. "now £51.00". Its not that price until Monday. I was just about to nip down to B&Q.

I get to work about 8 which is the same time my local store opens which is 30 seconds up the road. I'll confirm first thing Monday if they have any and what price.
