Just be aware that these batteries and driver are incompatible with the standard 18v makita kit
However if all you're after is a driver, then it's not a bad deal

I have this exact drill and had it around 18 months now and can honestly say it's the best drill I have ever owned, I am not a porfessional user just DIY and general stuff around my work but it performs flawlessly. comes with 2 X 1.3AH batteries which are not the highest rating but last ages anyway and you always have a spare fully charged one in the case anyway. The case is not a hard blown plastic case but a tough corded like material with 2 zips and will hold the drill the charger ( which is a chunk ) and the spare battery.

The standard range will be the LXT range

as it says in the description "The 18V batteries supplied are unique to this tool" and it is not only a driver but a very powerful hammer drill so do not underestimate this well made tool at this price.
