It's exactly the same set I got from Amazon which is £125 so heat from me. waiting for the dtd152 impact drill body only to drop in price £67 at the moment but has been as low as £54 to complete my set up.

Can see the Amazon deal before Christmas. Checked drill and it's a 2016 model with dual led light. Full code on the case is DHP482RFWJ.

Me too - works out just over a pound cheaper after Amazon employee discount. Hot from me although their ordering system seems a bit pony.

Great drill deal, 2 x 3Ah batteries is excellent, the start of a decent Makita tool kit, there's loads of body only tools for sale so it's easy and quite cheap to get a really decent selection of decent tools.

If you drill into lots of hard masonary, bricks, concrete but don't want an SDS drill then seriously consider the Makita 458 drill which has nearly double the torque of most of these drills (91Nm vs 50Nm of the 482)

i will. I looked up on camel camel camel UK and it was £53.99 on 24th Nov so I guess black Friday deal. I have that tracking as well as the 153z :-)

As OP set. Amazon themselves don't have it at £125 anymore as it's now £173.99 blimey.

Bought the DLX2131 kit a few weeks ago, great drills. People are getting stitched up as it should be sold with 3 batteries but companies are selling with two. Bought mine off eBay as I have loads of nectar points.

The 482 has 62Nm of torque but your point still stands. Having said that, I wouldn't want to be without an SDS drill if I was doing much drilling into masonry!

Does this defo include the charger? Probably a stupid question but the spec doesn't list?

Didn't work for me either. It took 20% off, but didn't give the £76 odd quid discount. So the price stayed the same

Doesn't look like the 20% off first order code works on any special promotions - see https://www.plumbcenter.co.uk/info/register/ - Point 5. Not to be used in conjunction with any other promotion, such as DEALS & Online Exclusive Offers.

I bought this model brand new recently:

I think there is something wrong with the batteries and/or charger.

When the battery is attached there is a beep and the red light switches on. This is normal according to the manual.

then when the charge is almost complete both the red and yellow turn on and then after 5mins the red light turns off and only the yellow light is left on but there is no beep. I think this is wrong - the manual say it must be yellow followed by a beep.I have tried both batteries and get the same thing happening.

anyone think this is defective?
