I've noticed these cheaper red Makita tools recently. Does anyone have any experience with them - any good?

I have a cordless drill made by Makita but was branded as "Site" which I have owned for a fair few years now.It has outlasted a genuine Makita drill( now repaired) despite being used heavily.I would say the Red Makita is just as good as normal stuff

It's there old model stuff. Doesn't seem to be much cheaper then there latest stuff. I have all makita stuff and find the quality is good.

I've got the red makita site angle grinder had it for around 5 years if not longer and it's still going strong. could say that for most of my makita stuff really. very tempted to get this as it's handy having a 240 jigsaw. saves fannying around with a transformer. heat

One of two reviews on screwfix
" I would say its far from good. From a trusted brand like Makita i expected a lot better. It does not stay online as the guide is out, Plus you can't see the guide unless you are leaning way over the top. Lead too short. Al;l in all, Fine for cutting up junk wood, but don't buy if you want to do any good work. Pay more get better. "
The other review is good though
