Got a cot/bed (with mattress) wardrobe & dresser from ikea for £220
This seems a bit pricey

I've not purchased Ikea furniture so I don't know what the quality is like, I have the Mamas & Papas cot & dresser from above and paid around £500 just for these 2 items last year, so for the same price you are getting a wardrobe too. The quality is fantastic and it looks great too, may not be to everyone's taste though.

Mamas & Papas are good quality unlike Ikea.

Oh my god what a load of nonsense. You are comparing the lowest end of the scale with the highest. I have a furniture set from mamas and papas (similar range but not exactly the same as the one posted) and it is solid wood and very sturdy.

I have some bits of ikea furniture around the rest of my house. But how long do you think that chip board rubbish would last in a kid's room?!?!?

All solid wood:thumbsup:

some of ikea stuff is crap depends what range you go for

Bought this set from Argos over 3 years ago now for the same price. Don't class this as much of a deal to be honest, price about right and pretty old range. It's also not quite as sturdy and solid as mentioned - this is the lowest end of the Mamas & Papas range however it has lasted ok for us. Not voting either way...

Granted some Ikea stuff if basic, but generally its pretty good.

The mamas and papas stuff is pretty expensive and this, for those products is good.

They are the kind of things you can use for all your kids then sell for a good price or keep for family etc.

Not saying that ikea is not good, but comparing any furniture anywhere to ikea is always going to be pricey so is a bit of a moot point.

Just giving folks a heads up that you can get a set of similar quality plus a mattress for less than half the price..

Mamas n papas stuff is well overpriced in my opinion
