This seat is very old now, won awards nearly a decade ago.

Far better options in my opinion.

Doesn't look like it comes with the ISOFIX base? It would be an amazing deal if it did.

We have the old, pre-ISOFIX version of this seat, which annoyingly isn't compatible with the ISOFIX base. We've found it very good, and the fact that it integrates with other Mamas & Papas travel systems is a big bonus.

What better options?

I bought this for 59 from argos 2 week ago and took it to mamas and papas who didnt care and they fitted it for me. they said to me the only difference in the new primos is the fabric and colours. This one was amazing for 59 they said. I also got a second hand used for 6 month perfectly flawless isofix from gumtree for 50 quid. so 109 all in whereas i was gonna pay 140 for iso fix and 135 for seat. Saving to me of 165?

tell me a better deal you have?

If it came with the isofix for that price it would be out of this world

someone told me that if you have an old isofix, you can take it to mamas and papas and get them to exchange it for a new one. not sure how much truth is in that

Not doubting that it's cheap, but it should be for an old, tired, model like this.

They've always been slated in reviews and I don't believe they've performed very well in safety testing. The whole purpose of a child seat is for safety so having one with a low rating isn't really a good idea in my opinion.

Here's just one link Review Centre

Personally I'd go for a much safer Maxi Cosi or Britax model.

I think there is some confusion here. Looks like there are two types of Primo Viaggio car seat. I posted this deal couple of weeks back and then saw this one at Argos ebay outlet. I was thinking of returning the Argos one and get the one from their ebay outlet but then I realised its a different one.
@ ro53ben, I think the reviews are for the one at Argos ebay outlet and not this one.

Which? gives it a very good review, and there are plenty of positive reviews on the web (and as with most car seats there are negative reviews aswell - mostly around the fact that it is "too heavy").

We bought the model from Argos Clearance and we're very happy with it. It comes with it's own fixed base so we don't need to keep attaching and reattaching the seatbelts in our car, it just unclips and lifts very easily. Neither of us find it too heavy, and it clips easily into our Piko Pramette.
It was a bargain IMO - we saved well over £100

I'd love to know where these "much better options" are for a similar price.

Looks a good cheap deal-I have had 3primo seats and think I paid roughly about £130 for each one so this seems a bargain. I do have to say though that the seat in the pic does not look fitted correctly as the handle should be against the back of the car seat to provide extra support(so it said in manual anyway lol) Most M&P seats are reduced simply because of the new colour collections every 6 months.

got this seat for about £70 and very happy with it. picked up two iso fix bases on ebay for around £50 each otherwise you have to pay through the nose for the bases!
