Oscar-winning documentary by James Marsh telling the story of what has since been described as 'the artistic crime of the century'. On August 7th 1974, a young Frenchman called Philippe Petit stepped out on a wire suspended between the twin towers of New York's World Trade Center, at the time the world's tallest buildings. After an hour of dancing on the wire with no safety net or harness, he was finally arrested for this beautiful but illegal act of daring. Petit and his team had spent several months planning the performance in detail: bypassing security, smuggling wire and rigging equipment into the towers, suspending the wire between the two towers at the perfect tension to withstand both the wind and the swaying of the buildings - all without being caught.

Think most people would prefer to pay the extra 90p to get it from Amazon. Not a good enough saving to justify buying from a less trustable source.

It's very good if you're into that sort of thing.
It's a fascinating story but if you're not into documentaries you might not like it.

Amazing guy, amazing story. This doc has one of the highest ratings ever on rottentomatoes.com

I loved this, thought the last part at the twin towers was incredible, wrecks with my head a bit that someone has the balls to do something like that.

Having said that if you only like stuff with guns and explosions step away

Well I thought it was one of the most boring documentaries I've ever seen, I admit that the documentary on paint drying was more boring though.

On a serious note, if this mans life interests you you will probably find this interesting, if not avoid.

Incredible what Philippe Petit managed to do and against all the odds too.

Loved this when I watched it. Not a big documentary person, and so this was more watched out of l'uck'.

I found Philippe Petit really engaging to listen to. A story of complete and utter madness or super bravery. Not sure which but the result is much the same.

Watching the footage made me go a bit dizzy, I'm not good with heights:)
