General sale for a european cup final, serious? I can understand chelsea not selling out with their plastic fans but im surprised utd havn't sold out.
#3
Is it still possible to book a flight though- i would have thought that theyd be fully booked

i guess this is useful for those that have booked flights but no tickets
#4
the reason is that united and uefa told the fans the tickets had to match the name in the passport, therefore not being able to transfer them to friends/families... this is not true as the ticket doesnt have a name at all and is a way to clamp down on touts, but also at the expense of genuine fans.

any direct link?
HUKD referal link seems not working

My thoughts exactly, unbelievable

There are tickets left because people can't afford the match. It'll cost around £3000 to watch the match in Russia...hotel expenses, food & beer, travelling etc.

More like £1000 max if you had normal tickets from the club with a proper flight booking. We would have sold these twice over.

It's a bit late in the day to be buying tickets for this, no chance of getting flights or somewhere to stay in moscow, that's the reason why these have gone on general sale

I would have loved to have gone to this too, be a great night watching utd get the double

There will be empty seats at the Champions League final in Moscow after both clubs failed to sell their allocations, according to a report in The Times.

Even Manchester United - with their claim to be the world's best supported club - still had tickets on general sale on Monday night as fans shunned the expensive trip to Moscow.

The Times claims that phone calls to the United ticket office revealed that there were still £73 and £120 tickets available. Those are now likely to remain unsold as it is far too late to make travel arrangements.

Chelsea claim to have sold their allocation but their official website reveals that there is still some 'limited availability' on two-night trips.

There is also the distinct possibility that many people who have bought tickets will see their money go to waste as they find the cost of the trip prohibitive.

The Times reports, 'On the Craigslist.org website's Manchester and London sections there were nearly 500 tickets for sale last night, many offered for face value. "Can't afford trip and need to sell," one seller wrote.

'Sean Bones, the vice-chairman of the Manchester United Supporters' Trust, said: "The Moscow trip is similar in price to next year's season tickets and people are having to make a choice between shelling out for one game or seeing every match next year."

The embarrassment of the empty seats is set to put massive pressure on UEFA to keep Champions League finals in western Europe and the next two will be in Rome and then Madrid, with the 2011 final likely to be held at Wembley

Seen as the flights are still on sale with sports options. And you dont need accomodation if you do a day trip.

best idea would be for uefa to build there own stadium for the finals, they new it would be up to scratch then.
chances are there's never gonna be a swis team in the finals.

plus they could get other events going on etc...
#23
Ill watch it on my tv for free =]

You removed my post, Why because I'm a Manc? Yet you haven't removed the provocative Scousers comments, Why are the Scousers replying to this deal anyway other than to wind us up.

Mate im not on here to wind you or any other utd fans up, ive got better things to do. I asked why they were on general sale when day trips are still available and got abused. Im not bitter or obsessed like alot of fans. Id go into debt to see my team in a european final, like i have done before and was very surprised to hear they were on general sale with you having such a good away following.

True but then they couldnt charge stupid amounts to line their pockets then. Thats just common sense, something uefa dont have.

Fair enough, Truth is it's rather messed up, Tickets should go to the fans

Deffo, the genuine fans, not some random neutral from the 'uefa family' going just to watch a game of football no matter who is playing.

Well when i was after flights for athens/istanbul, it said sold out where the price/booking number was. They are usually updated fast to avoid any mix ups/overbookings so unless it says sold out, it should have spaces.

Agree with you ScouserTommy. Had Liverpool been there, their fans would have bought all their allocation plus the opponents "manier" times ...:-D

but the scousers are not there.
