Just been to the Ikea in Nottingham and it is £19.99 for the kingsize and £9.99 for the superking i.e. the superking is cheaper than the king for some reason. In addition to the frame you need the slats. The slats are £8.81 and the bed requires two of these totalling at £17.62. Therefore, for the complete frame ready to plonk a mattress on and use, the prices are as follows:

• Kingsize Frame: £19.99
• Slats: £17.62

Total cost = £37.61

Humm... disturbing when my bed appeares on this site...

Bed is fine, has stood up well for about 18 months now and has survived a take down and move. One thing to note, the head board is really only secured by four coach bolts and a few dowls so if it is not right up against a wall, then there is a gap and it does flex...

to be fair its a good idea as if you buy it you can use the slats of your old bed if it has them and thus saves money and m=waste well unless your selling old bed

but amnyway i think its a good idea for our throwaway nation

some ikea stuff is ok, some is rubbish but the thing i like about ikea is that most of the time you can get it that day or there is short wait......my wife and i saw a nice coffee table in furntiture village for £290ish...but the NINE WEEK wait (what a joke) meant they lost the sale....i can wait a week or two but 9 weeks for a coffee table...no wonder the uk furniture shops are going bust

Saw this yesterday, the draws aren't the best quality so don't overload them. They had some left in Lakeside, King and Super King, however it has been discontinued, so when it's gone it's gone. I didn't think it looked as sturdy as the Malm and when I bounced around on it it did make a bit of a noise so it's not a discreet bed.
I'm going for the Malm and a Hamnvik mattress, but this bed did look good, but don't think it's for me.
