but no pair of jeans is worth £130......£40 is fine, paid £100 for pair sonetti jeans years ago, never again (when they were a niche brand)....wouldnt pay over £50 for a pair of jeans.....some designer brand jeans are low on quality too (D&G's are dreadful - had 2 pairs both shrunk/discoloured after 4 washes!).....however i wouldnt buy cheap jeans either, had some cheapo ones for diy from asda (george) and tesco and they really are garbage....the zips keep popping open (ok if you are a flasher!!)

Beware of MandMdirect;

I ordered a pair of Firetrap jeans in Xmas sales for £9. Said they would be dispatched 5th jan at earliest. (Fair enough). Then a week later from 5th, got a letter through door saying how they had so much demand and such. I received a refund, but just saying that's all lol.
#17
I've never had any trouble with them, great company imo, always delivered very quickly for me
#19
Good deal if they actually have any in stock. Seems to me that their site takes orders on items that are out of stock. Can be dissapointing if it is something you really wanted.

83V3 for 10% off & don't forget quidco

I think the 83v3 code expired already.

Are you having a giggle?! Diesel jeans are of the highest quality and supreme comfort! I wouldn't pay more than £80 for them, but at £40 they are a steal!

Beware indeed.

I ordered several items ten days ago and only received one, the rest being out of stock.

Although showing as available when I placed my order.

Not a reliable service for me.

" I can confirm your payment card has not been charged for the items that are out of stock.

Unfortunately, as we usually buy end of line items, we do not get the opportunity to replenish our stock once it has sold out.

Please visit our website at mandmdirect.com for up to date stock levels and exclusive internet offers.

We apologize for any disappointment caused on this occasion.

Haha! I agree I thought I was slim but even I can't get into any of those Diesel jeans linked earlier, the whole site isn't like this though so there might be a few bargains on there, those that haven't been highlighted individually on HUKD that is, by that stage they will have a sudden influx of orders and go OOS pretty quickly...

I don't know how hard it is to get live stock levels and why M&M don't implement this feature and yes it may be frustrating when what people are describing happens when items are out of stock but I don't think that makes this deal bad. M&M is a good retailer and they've never let me down, but I've never bought anything off there off a HUKD thread because by that time I have no chance for anything in my size. Just trying to bring a little balance into it.

I agree, they advertise some very good deals. But, having ordered and waited over a week, you'd expect to receive your order.

I thought they had live stock levels, if so, they clearly don't work.

None of my recently ordered items had been posted on hotukdeals either. So no rush on stock from here in my case.

Ive had two letters this week from M&M apologising that because of high demand the items i ordered and paid for are no longer available blah blah.....complete waste of time ...I wouldnt touch them with a barge pole.
#28
I have bought from them before, and their service was OK, but I would not buy from them again due to their returns policy. Most catalogues offer a free returns service, M&M make you pay the return postage as I found to my annoyance when I bought a jacket for my son which didnt fit as their L size is more like a medium.

It cost me £7 to return via parcelforce. I opted for a refund rather than exchange as I didn't want to have to stump up a second time if the replacement jacket was still too small.

Anyhow... not voting either way.

Well it's your choice, but ultimately your loss. I've placed 7 orders over the last couple of weeks comprising of about 25 items. Have got everything except 1 thing. You must bear in mind how busy they must have been over xmas etc, especially with the exposure they have received on here. And the live stock levels seems to work most of the time for me, several things I've seen on here have been OOS when I've tried to buy. If you want to miss out on stuff like Henri Lloyd hiking boots for £14.61.........

Edit: They did charge me twice for my last order though, sorted straight away but maybe worth keping an eye on that!

I keep saying this but some problems arise when people post deals found via the sitemap, not on the main site, its hit and miss if you get them.

They did used to show stock levels, the most shown at any one time was 15 available, they stopped doing this last year and i think its because so many people buy to re-sell on ebay,so that makes it more difficult for ebay sellers not knowing if stock is available.

Someone mentioned about being miffed about paying to return an item as catalogue companies are free returns BUT this isn't a catalogue company, they only pay return postage if its faulty, even then you have to make sure you write on the return note how much postage was and needs to be refunded as if you don't its not always reimbursed.
#32
As a footnote to my previous post, ringing an order through is the best way to check stock levels then you can decide whether or not its worth ordering, they are open until 10pm:thumbsup:

I can back up what people are saying about Mandm not being that reliable. They are quite hit and miss, i think there system is really slow.

I ordered from them recently and a few days after receiving only a couple of the items i ordered (the ones i only ordered to bulk the order up for free delivery) i received an email telling me my parcel will be delivered in the next seven days, this was nearly 2 weeks after i ordered, i then got sent a letter nearly a week after the delivery saying sorry some (nearly all) of your order is out of stock etc, lol.

I know some other sites can take a while to deliver but at least with places like play they are delivering from abroad so it's bound to take a little longer. I ordered from Asos recently and they delivered only 2 days after i ordered.

Also i think some of the stuff they sell may be seconds/rejects etc because i have had a lot of stuff turn up with defects before and they could do with packaging there orders better because they tend to just send it all in a bag wich can be quite bashed up by the time it reaches you.

I think some of the stock level problems are down to the fact that there are a lot of ebayers who buy from the site to resell. The second anything goes cheap which they think they might be able to make any kind of profit on they will bulk buy and hence it goes out of stock. If you ever miss out on something on there just stick the name into ebay and it wouldn't suprise me if you find it being sold on there and by coincidence they may also be selling lots of other items off mandm as well.

Thats one of the problems with Hotukdeals now, there are just too many ebayers using it now. People post deals for heat/rep (whatever it is) and to help other people out, which is fair enough, but the average normal person will never be able to compete with the bulk buying of ebayers.
So thats the catch-22. I don't know what the answer is, how do you stop all the ebayers from checking the site?

You can't BUT you're not allowed to buy from m&m to re-sell on ebay its in their terms, its only if they cotton on they may stop you etc

Some can be stopped on ebay as they are private sellers so can be reported as they should be a business, depends how far you wanna go..lol

Pun intended? :p

I was thinking about this just the other day...How about users with xx amount of (non spam) posts get to preview the 'Hot' deals 30 minutes before the rest? Or it could be done by rep?

So if you're not logged in/haven't contributed decent rep, you see all the hot deals half hour later?
