and what benefits are there in spending £100+ on tripod?

Build quality, sturdiness and weight capacity.
You wont get better for your money than this deal. The head alone is worth around 50 quid :)
You are an idiot! Yes your £10 tripod maybe suitable for your little cyber-shot, however, this tripod is best suited for serious cameras.
Also, voting cold because you "believe" that your crappy tripod does the same job as this tripod is not what this site is about. If you can find this deal cheaper then by all means vote cold, otherwise just go away. Saying that, looking at the "amazing" deals that you have posted I don't think you will be missed.
Taxi !!!!
Voted hot and bought, stonker of a deal !!
Err because its better? Maybe even 10x better if that could be quantified. I'd dread to see what you would see if you've ever focused anything through a longish lens on live view, exp zoomed in on live view, you will see right there why a solid tripod is needed. The merest touch can cause movement. Mirror flap is good these days but all the same I like to reduce anything that will affect image Quality. Plus good rugged levers and good secure lockdown. I've a manfrotto that I also weigh an extra 2Kg to and extended to about 1.60m its still a bit 'wobbly' for me.
i dont have the cash now and would have to borrow money
EDIT: actually i prob wont need it for another month or 2...would you all suggest i take this deal now or does it look like prices will stay/drop
or maybe a mkc3 would be better for me...half the price

agree
friend use blue tooth to transfer macro shoots to laptop, just after the light falls on the sensor (and before in camera stuff starts) to avoid shake. (caused by mirror flap, processing, writing to internal memory, storage card etc)
(his cheapest manfrotto costs a few hundreds... does sell phots but not for living)
