This is actually a decent tripod for a very good price, Manfrotto are a well known and well respected brand - better than the cheapo £11 tripod 7dayshop have, well worth the extra £20.

seems to be £20 cheaper than amazon, jessops and everywhere else I could find it.

Nice find, and good price I am looking for a new tripod but at a max capacity of 1kg not much use for a DSLR owner my D200 Body only is 900g :(

Good tripod - with ref to the max load weight, I bought this for my 350D and have found it to be really good. A little lightweight when the wind gusts, but for everyday stuff it is light to carry and can take the weight of the smaller DSLRs. Dead chuffed with mine.

to be fair if you've got a £2000 camera you'd want to spend a bit more than £35 on a tripod for it ;-)

Should be just fine for many DSLR users, my D40 weighs in at 475g, but its a fair point - check camera weight (+lens) before buying!

A D200 isn't worth £2000 lol, try about £300

I had this tripod and used it with my old Fuji S5 Pro and Tokina 12-24mm lens, it held it well for about 3 months until the grip loosened. Its supprising how much it will hold tbh.

At todays prices, sure. I was talking about original retail price, I think they were about £1500 body only and £2000 for the lens kit?
