Not fair.
I ordered the size and colour I wanted on 24th. December. The couriers rang on 2nd. January to say they would deliver on 6th. January between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
They delivered it at 11:00 a.m. on 6th. January.
I'm well happy with that.
The bed's been put together and it's absolutely superb.

Just assembled mine today.
The bed-frame 'proper' is assembled first and then the posts fit in place, so I don't see any reason why you couldn't just stop before putting the posts in.
The only thing is that the 'caps' for the hollow posts are white plastic. That's not a problem at the top of the post because, of course, most people won't be able to see them. That wouldn't be the case if they were fitted where the bottom of the posts would fit if it was being built as a four-poster.
I'm not sure I explained that very well. If you don't understand, it's probably my fault. Sorry!
If you set it up as a normal bed you won't be left with spare drapes as they DON'T come with it. That's the only disappointment really, but I'm sure we'll be able to sort something out and at the prices they're charging it would be churlish to complain.

There are loads of them about - even Argos do 'em. You haven't given a price range so it's a bit difficult to say where you should try, but I've ordered mine from snugmattress.co.uk. Free next day delivery and with the memory foam mattress I've bought I get 2 free memory foam pillows (worth £44.00) in my choice of style - traditional or shaped.

You're very welcome!
I know this won't be of interest to you, BAC83, but others might like to know that IKEA sell net drapes that are suitable for this bed when built as a four-poster. They're a little too long but it does say that they can be cut shorter and don't have to be hemmed. 4 pairs (enough for the full bed) cost just under £12.00, but they're only currently available to pick up at the store. IKEA call them LILL and you can see them here :-
