Manhunt 2 for the Wii only £9.99 at Play.com

This was the deal of the day 3 days ago but its still for the great price of £9.99 so grab it while you can,it went up to £17.99 and then back down again the day after the deal so dont know when it will go back up in price again, get it while you can tho

An experiment at a secret research facility has gone catastrophically wrong. Daniel Lamb and Leo Kasper are the only surviving subjects. The Pickman Project will stop at nothing to hunt them down and stop the truth from getting out.

Demented screams echo around the dank asylum that has caged you for the last six years. You open your eyes. A white-coated body slumps to the floor through your shaking hands. A bloody syringe slips from your arm. Waves of confusion and paranoia crash over you. You have no idea who you are or how you got here.

The door to your cell is open. One choice. One chance. They took your life. Time to take it back.

Thanks. Heat & Rep added. I need to stop buying games!
#2
not really my thang but at a tenner how can you go wrong
#3
Good deal thanks. Will no doubt all be gone by 0900! Heat from me.
#4
Excellent price :santa:

Pile now standing 10 feet high! Another game I will probably never get round to playing - but at a tenner its unlikely to drop much in price. Bargain :)
#6
How cut was this in Europe ?
#7
Great price.

Does Play.com's deal of the day happen every day?
#8
All sold out :(

Despite all the hype on the Manhunt franchise this only had a 62 average at metacritic. Good price nonetheless though.

would also like to know about this.

What's £10? ordered and heat added.

It's hyped because of the violence. You can never tell exactly how old someone is online, and I think alot of the positive reviews come from the underage players.

I played this a loooonnnggg time ago and it was terrible then. The only thing going for it is the fact that the way is short of adult/violent titles.
#16
HOT still going!
#17
Thank you - ordered this just now - still appeared to have stock. We'll see though :)

As others have said - what's a tenner, when places are selling for three times this? Yes, I probably won't get around to playing it for a few months ... I've only just sat down to play Metroid Corruption after about 10 months, and RE4/NiGHTS/Okami are still unplayed. Madness.

In response to those of you asking how cut this game was in Europe, I believe that the violent cut-scenes are blurred-out so you can't really tell what's going on. I know that you can remove the filter that they've placed over the cut-scenes on the PSP cracked version, I doubt you can do anything about it on the wii.

I haven't played it yet (but I've ordered it now!), but supposedly there's a blurry filter applied every time one of the gory kills happens - that is, you still see the kill but the camera's so shaky/blurry that you can't really make out what's happening.

Supposedly, the Dutch version is uncut but it's hard to get hold of for a reasonable price. I believe the US version was cut in the same way as the UK.
#20
thanks for the infos guys yeah was googling & read that you can crack/patch the ps2 & psp versions to remove the filter, but the Wii version is not patchable yet or very hard to, but the Wii version is more fun/realistic:whistling: to play with the Wiimote, you can stab/strangle, you "act" out the killings, so that kinda compensates for the filter right? :whistling:

Same here,i was infact just looking yesterday at £17.99 and thought that aint a bad price, but didnt order and then the email came through of the deal of the day on play and ordered straight away, still in the packing process and i dont expect this to be here by Christmas to be honest, play's delivery over the last few weeks has been terrible.
As for how much gets cut out,the worse the kill (by holding down the button longer like the original Manhunt) then the less you can see,i think the screen goes red on the second worst kill and then goes to black on the third worst kill,i liked the story on the first Manhunt tho so hopefully the story will make up for the lack of violence
#25
Was playing the ps2 version i thought it as good. But the wii version were you act out your killings?! Sign me up!!

I've ordered a few bits and they have actually arrived faster than normal for me. Usually takes over a week, but stuff has arrived inside 4 days. Random customs inspections maybe?

Still £9.99 if anyone's interested :)

Was tempted by this until I read about the violent scenes all being blurred out. Anywhere where I can import the Dutch version?

is the Dutch version confirmed uncut? never thought of importing PAL games from Europe, just thought once a PAL game gets cut it gets cut all over Europe, only thought of having to mod my Wii to import NTSC US games. (took a bit of time to track down No More Heroes US Uncut version, paid only a little more than the UK version, but still need to mod my PAL Wii to play LOL)
#40
I was looking around using google and altho im not 100% i think the Dutch version is uncut as they have laws where the government or whoever has no say in things like that
Also have you managed to mod your Wii yet?I modded mine using Twilight Hack earlier and it all went good
