I know there are many Utd haters around, but they have been widely regarded for years as the club which has the best regime of bringing youngsters through the academy system and giving them a chance in the first team. Not all make the first team so go onto other clubs, but still achieve great levels - Danny Drinkwater , Tom Cleverly, Tom Heaton, Danny Welbeck to name a few. Interestingly, they develop quite a few English players so don't knock them, they could be our future national players.

Not a hater but it speaks volumes that even ex ManU players opted to put their own kids through another academy on the other side of town. :|

Given that United haven't had many younger players break into the first team in recent years there's little chance you'll be looking at United's future stars. Even less chance if Mourinho arrives. :{
Are you for real?, Rashford, Lingard, Blacket, Etc.. Etc..
And prior to this season?

Januazi, Evans, Welbeck Cleverley etc.. Some haven't excelled and some haven't achieved stardom as such but have gone on to have respectable careers like, Danny Drinkwater, Chris Eagles etc.. These players might not be the future but we've given them a foundation which can only be a good thing?.

Not bad price for under 16s but expensive for adults most other prem teams do £20 or less for carling cup
Good price to watch the Tractor Boys. Wouldn't pay it to see the diddies that they're playing though.....

oO
not everyones cup of tea but very rare that teams go on general sale so might be decent for people who just want to go to a one off game
Is £36 for the cheapest adult ticket to watch the second string of an inconsistent Premier League side playing lower division opposition really that good a deal?
ajameswood
Aaron_QPR
Title is a tad misleading, I thought adults were £5 when really they're £36-£58.
In my opinion the title should specify under 16.
Yeah sorry mate, specified that in the decription. sorry to get your hopes up
Makes no odds to me I wouldn't go regardless, just thinking of others.

Title now been adjusted. :)

I wont be going anymore since its live on Sky Sports 1.
However i did email Manchester United about parking as Old Trafford has its own car parks but usually you need to buy a permit to park in them. The cars parks are open on non match days free of charge. I verified this with Manchester United in the email reply i pasted below. Just for info if anyone else was taking the car.
Thank you for your email.
Entry and car parking for the Under 21s game is free of charge, I would suggest you give us a call on Tuesday to confirm what car park to head to. Entry to the game will be in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand Tier 1.

This should be located in West London for the true United fans.

Cliché?

(A cliché is an expression, idea, or element of an artistic work which has become overused to the point of losing its original meaning or effect, even to the point of being trite or irritating, especially when at some earlier time it was considered meaningful or novel)

Just about sums that comment up really.

Decent price for a grubby mid-table battle.

A lot of jealous people out there :p

Champions!

I refuse to acknowledge any team with Carrick and Cleverly as the centre midfield pairing to be champions, even less so when Phil Jones is in the starting eleven. :)

Regardless whether you rate them or not , they are the current champions FACT , how old are cleverly and jones by the way ? ...... Playing at the top level at their age , both internationals and both have clear potential to become brilliant.
To a certain extent I agree there are better players than these but with a bit of experience behind them as I say they can be great.
Totally disagree regarding carrick , he had his best season for utd last term and was instrumental in the heart of the midfield. The thing is when you don't follow a team you wouldn't know that so you can be excused for your ignorance on that one I guess. However, most football fans that watch a lot of football i am sure will agree without carrick last season Utd almost certainly wouldn't have won the title.

You're certainly not consider a 'football fan' if you think Carrick won you the league. I'd put that down to you spending your transfer kitty on a top striker, not a mid-table muppet bluffing a living.

All is revealed this season, United are being found out for the team they are - under Ferguson, a force to be reckoned with, without his leadership, a few star players and a ramshackle ensemble of average ability.

I think you will find that I said united would not have won the league without his performances in midfield , I certainly did not say or indeed imply that he won united the league. Next time you reply to a post , perhaps read it properly first. It'll perhaps give you a little credibility when you respond. Just a heads up :) ...

I think the same applies to most teams in the prem , they have a few star players and an ensemble of average quality around them , name a team in the prem that has all star players ?
United in my opinion failed during the transfer window missing out on the class do Ozil and opting for fellani instead who is proving to be a complete flop thus far.

Stop trying to look clever, you divvy. You said 'United would not have won the league without Carrick's performances' - ergo, you said you needed him to win the league.

We're gonna do you and old Frog Eye again at The Theatre of Nightmares, you're not a good team anymore. Apart from RVP, Rooney and possibly Ferdinand, just a team of nobodies :).

If you say so , I don't think its a case of me trying to look clever , more a case of you looking rather thick but hey ho.
Perhaps rather than accusing everyone of trying to look clever you may want to consider the high possibility that it is fact you that it is thick and everybody else that is just well , normal ?!

Nice reply, I thought for a minute it was written by someone literate, then I read the name of the author.

Wit perhaps isn't one of your best attributes , I'd stick with the silly insults and trolling as you are masterclass with those , Just a heads up ;)

I am personally not a fan of Carrick, I think he is the reason he makes United's midfield weak.

He has no strength, loves passing backwards and makes it difficult for whoever he partners in midfield. He doesn't go forward with the ball which makes us restricted to wing play - predictable as teams have found out!!

Just because money is being sent to Africa, it doesn't mean it is being wasted. If you aren't happy with how things are being done, change the way they are done! Or support charities that are transparent and cost-effective.

24th Mar 2010 found this booked and cant wait

Sport Relief and Manchester United Foundation today announce that chart-topping pop acts, Tinchy Stryder and The Hoosiers will be performing a string of their Top Ten hits, alongside The Saturdays, at the one-off fundraising event, United Relief Live: The Big Red Family Day Out at Old Trafford on Saturday 1st May.

Also announced to play in the Manchester United XI versus The Rivals charity football match, are Ronan Keating, Austin Healey and Manchester United ‘99 treble-winning hero Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The ultimate family day out will be raising money to fund the crucial work of Sport Relief and Manchester United Foundation.

Dwight Yorke said: " I’m urging everyone to join in the fun and come along to United Relief Live: The Big Red Family Day Out on 1st May at Old Trafford. Not only will it be a fantastically fun event but you can feel proud of raising money to help poor and disadvantaged people living unimaginably tough lives across the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries.”

Manchester United legends set to take part include Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Lee Sharpe, Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke. The footballing aces will be joined by Manchester United celebrity supporters including sprint athlete Darren Campbell, X Factor finalist Ollie Murs, actors Max Beesley and Ricky Whittle (Calvin Valentine in Hollyoaks), radio presenter Chappers, and Boyzone’s Ronan Keating.

Tackling some of their greatest rivals is opposing squad, The Rivals, featuring former England stars Peter Beardsley and Des Walker as well as celebrities including Boyzone’s Keith Duffy, comedians Jason Manford and Paddy McGuinness, former rugby player Austin Healey, and TV presenter George Lamb.

Each squad comprises 16 celebrities and World Cup greats. With less than six weeks for the players to train and bond before the big game, the pressure is on to get match-fit and performance-ready.

Kirsty Gallagher and Anita Rani will bring all the action from the sideline, delivering a live analysis of the beautiful game to a 60,000-strong crowd.

Britain’s Got Talent’s dance troupe, Flawless, will also be performing at half-time.

The charity event will take place at Manchester United's home ground, Old Trafford, on Saturday 1st May.

Tickets are priced from £15 for adults, £5 for children and are on sale
Looks good to me but unfortunately I will be away on that date :-(
The lineup looks crap, but it's cheap enough I guess.
charity keeps you in your place
Voted hot – I will be there. If anyone’s interested in football history check out the book I published two years ago to help raise funds. It’s now been reprinted and includes a chapter on Man U and the Glazers. Go to ebay and type in Sport Relief Football Book to bid – every penny is automatically donated! Being the author I suppose I could be accused of bias but you should find it very readable and authoritative - I lecture in this area, after all.

Where has the £250 come from? Surely £8000 per match divided by 8 seats is £1000 each? Plus VAT of course! So £1175 each

Voted hot by the way but not because of the deal ;-)

But it's £15k for 8 matches for 8 people. Therefore ~£250 per match per person.

what matters is that Man U won't be winning the FA Cup this year and it was Leeds who put a stop to that.:-D

Yep you can slate Leeds but the worse you make them look the worse Scumchester United must be for being beaten by them
