For anyone lucky enough to get the Elonex video and photo frame from ASDA recently ... it requires 1.5A at 5V, which is really difficult to find in the budget shops. Cheap cigarette lighter adapters tend to supply 1/2 to 1A max, and cheap ones supplying 2A often only give 4.5V !
Thankfully, Maplin have halved the price of this little beauty. It covers a good range of voltages at a hefty 3A, more than enough for most non-laptop portable equipment. With a wide range of power tips it's extremely versatile and only twice the price of lesser powered budget models from Amazon.
I have tried it on my elonex frame and it powers up fine (don't have any videos or photos to test it further but should be fine). The green power tip fits the Elonex frame.
* Suitable for use with cars, boats or trucks with a 12V socket
* Wide range of 7 output voltages (DC1.5, 3, 4.5, 5, 6, 9 and 12V)
* 3000mA output current across all voltages
* Includes 6 of the most popular power tips
* Overload and short circuit protection
* Stabilised output, low ripple and low interference
* Power LED indicator
* Fitted with a 5A fuse
This power adaptor has a high current output of 3000mA, making it particularly suitable for use with higher current drain in-car devices such as portable DVD players. The adaptor benefits from offering a regulated power supply across all 7 of the output voltages. The 6 power tips provided mean that this device will be suitable for most portable consumer electronics devices, such as CD players, cassette recorders, handheld games machines, etc.
