In FAQ it says

Manufacturer: Vaova Umax
Q) It has 2 scart plug is one an input to record from another source - Shaun Tremayne
A) Yes the product does support that.

No info on simultaneous recording of two channels. If it can then I'll be there in a shot.

Unfortunately when I went to pick one up today they had no stock but I have got one on order. like the idea of being able to input things into it to store on the hard drive.
Not sure about recording two at once but still thinking its a pretty good price at 92.99 with a 250GB hard drive, looked at other units for a similar price and they all seem to be 160GB models.

does anyone know if this will record from a cable box?.
#5
It should be able to record from a cable box as you could just connect it through the scart input on the recorder.

It appears that the manufacturer may also be known as Yamada.
Product website: http://www.umax.co.uk/WebNew_UK/index.htm
This seems to indicate that it's up to 160Gb HDD but "specs. may vary".
Also available on Play though this states 160Gb:

May be worth confirming HDD size but it does state 160 hours recording ...

When I have seen this question asked on the AV forums the answer is most PVR’s will only record from their internal freeview tuners to the hard disc, no sat or cable record.
