Q) i have forgotten password is there a way of opening box - anthony jewkes
A) The unit can be opened by the security card.

Q) is the safe made from plastic - neil wiley

Thanks for the post on this;

PLUS

I added in one of their postage discount products (£5.99 bringing with it free postage discount), then changed my mind to which additional product I was going to purchase and deleted it.

The crux of the story, is that I retained the free postage discount, so have only paid the £7.98 original price for the item, INCLUDING the postage.

Not bad price for this, and will make a welcome change to the jar that currently houses all of my loose coins!

Where do you find the free postage discount products, are they all on one page?

If you want an actual proper safe try this...

http://www.screwfix.com/prods/47956/Security/Safes/Burglary-Safes/Compact-Electronic-Safe
£17.99

I have two and they are excellent. Weigh an absolute ton though.

The wipe cost nearly as much as the safe at 4.49 : http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=45635&C=Maplin&U=SearchTop&T=safe&doy=17m1
Who would buy specific wipes for a plastic safe....seems a little over the top!

Bargainosis is my input. Any others??

Thank goodness for that. Thought I was the only one.

Must be a disease.

Need to come up with a suitable name for this so that the diagnosis can be recognised by others.

How about BARGAINOSIS for starters. (Bit obvious, I know)

Whatabout saying that you suffer from HDUKOIDS)

OK maybe not 'a ton' :) but way heavier than a plastic safe.

As for forgetting the code... the raised panel you can see to the left of the keypad hides a normal key-lock. You get 2 keys and a set of anchor bolts for bolting it to the floor or wall.

I just remembered that I've seen these same safes (the screwfix ones) in store at Makro for a very similar price (probably less than the screfix one with del.) so thats another option if you have a card.
