As you all know Maplin electronics have a sale every month.
The new one starts on wednesday (23rd january). I have aquired one of there new promo leaflets from a member of staff at the local maplin.
The deals are not yet active but will be on wednesday.
here are the best that i could find. I will list prices as (before/after)

I think the start date must be Wednesday 24th not 23rd January? As it's the 22nd tomorrow.

Hmm the ext 400GB seagate drive looks good, even at SCAN (which are usually very cheap) a similar model is £128....

The sale doesn't start till tomorrow so it will be worth checking online then. On another forum someone has been reported as this as being sold instore at this price.

I actually saw this in my local Maplin yesterday and thought it looked very cheap (i.e. good value) and am considering it. The bloke in the shop said there would be a lot more offers on the 27th.

The drive is this one and comes with backup software - though from the reviews the software does not seem to be great.

The cheapest I have seen it elsewhere is about £130. I registered from Maplin's newsletter and received a set of discount vouchers (so no need to buy the instore catalogue) £3 off £50, £7 off £100, £15 off £200, £25 off £300.
