Just went to PC World (Selly Oak) and they Price Match with john lewis (solihull) pretty far imo.

He price matched to £19 and i mentioned the '10%' difference as they usually sell for £35 and so he reluctantly sold it for £18 even though it should have been £17.50 - but i let him off because its christmas!!

I have a recipt if you want proof.

i know its not just an easy 'pick up and pay' deal but its still slightly cheaper than john lewis or amazon or tesco.

BIG THANKS TO AgentSingh WHO POSTED THE £19 DEAL FROM JOHN LEWIS!!

Is it worth the hassle as the staff never want to play ball around here and its only a pound.

Is it a case that you have to have a John Lewis within 30 miles and they must have it in stock?
How do PCWorld verify this?

As mentioned by the OP, Amazon are doing this for £19 http://www.wii-game.co.uk/~241/Racing/Mario-Kart-Wii-with-Official-Wii-Wheel/ and appear to be the cheapest, but buying offline might be the better optiion now.

I'm starting to worry about delivery dates for xmas presents, as the weather has caused some major backlogs. I've been waiting for some stuff from Firebox for over a week. Realistically we must be getting close to last delivery dates now.

I bought this from Tesco extra online on friday for £19 - then chose to pick it up in store at the weekend.

Much better way to do it if you think delivery is a bit bodgy this close to xmas (and don't want to pay delivery).

This could be a much more accessible option for some people.

Cheers
Dan

Dan, Ordinarily i would agree - however the big supermarkets have now stopped the 'collect from store' service in Scotland - so this isn't an option for us Jocks!

Do you think PC world would accept the £5 voucher as well as the price match offer? £13 for Wii Mario Kart with Wheel is a bargain.......
#11
i didnt think of doing it with a voucher. i did it very quickly an easily, i went in to buy a chair and saw mario kart and thought id try my luck.
i asked the manager, he said yes they price match with john lewis, he asked if they had some in stock, i said - i dont know i just cant be bothered to go that far - and he said ok, checked the website on which it must have said 'in stock' and so it was mine for £18. if i fought a bit more it would have been £17.50!

Cheers for the reply!
Also has anyone gotten to use the voucher in addition to price matching with John Lewis/Tesco/Amazon to get the price to around £13?

Go into Currys and pick up a catalog, there is a code on the back. Follow the instructions, it is a competition, with some other prizes but most people just get the £5 voucher.
