The mains are around £5-6 alone, so you do get your moneys worth, hence it still being a good deal.

I agree. I worked there and thought the same. They could do better I think. The deal does get the punters in though and people generally seem happy with some of the items. Still always worth posting though.

Where do you get the menu from? TIA!
#16
i didnt say they weren't good value. just that the meals and side dishes in particular aren't that special. potatoes OR vegetables? anyone?
as for the main dishes being 5-6 quid i very much doubt that. although maybe with m&s over-inflated prices, perhaps.
not bad puddings though.

I usually buy a chicken and it's cost has been between £5 and £7. It's not a ready meal but with a cook time of 1hr 30 ish it's not too bad.

@chris3349 - I'm blind... I see no info on the M&S webby, not even under current offers
#19
I'm having this : Seabass Fillets

Tenderstem Broccoli, Carrots & Sugar Snap Peas

Raspberry Pannacotta

IGT Pinot Grigio
thanks :)

Why is this deal being repeated every week on a new thread??????

Can't people just update one of the 23727319 other M&S 2 can dine for a tenner threads?

sorry but these mains and side dishes are a bit rubbish.

How can they ALL be rubbish? Bit too 'foreign' for you is it? Live dangerously and try something - you might just like it. seriously - give it a go!

I've never had a bad meal from M&S (expensive, yes, but not bad). Don't kid yourself these are a real bargain but they are good value for decent food and a drinkable wine. Certainly way better than Tesco's attempt at a £9 'Finest' meal deal.

I recently bought a whole sea bass from a market fishmonger - over £8 and it was just about enough for two by the time it was filletted. Even the factory food from M&S is well above average quality. This is not an absolute bargain but it is a good price for decent quality food.

No because it is a deal that becomes expired after the Monday of the weekend it is on, and if the deal was simply updated people would miss out given that they thread would be way down at the bottom of the list as most people 'sort' out their hot deals by date made hot so that they see the most recent.

Great deal, as always I appreciate the heads up, H+R added thanks :)
#27
I miss working for M&S where i could get M&S food [and very occasionally booze] for 1/4 price or less .
*sigh*

Of course, if the economy keeps going as it is; i may very well go back to that job.
#28
I'll ask a stupid question,
I don't usually buy anythig from M&S, what kind of M&S stores should i be looking for to get this deal?

As the deal was submitted over a month ago, we're allowing this one to stay.
Please don't edit other people's opening posts unless you have something important to add to the deal- your comments have now been deleted from the OP :)

Apologies for the wrong date! Also, I didn't realise that posting a deal would cause such offence to some people. I thought that the point of this site was to help others find and share good deals.
I'm relatively new to posting deals and did check if this 'deal' was already posted but couldn't see that it was. I'll try not to offend anyone again if/when I post another deal. Please consider me suitably chastised.

These are really good deals - we had one a few weeks ago which was delicious and the wine (which I thought might be a bit rubbish) was a really nice bottle of white.

Great deal - heat added.
