Ok, so today is the 20% off day for Marks & Spencer, but last time they did this, someone notice that there was a glitch and it was giving 30% off Furniture on the website.

At the time, I ordered a matress and got 30% off with free delivery. I've just checked again on their website and it's still giving 30% off AND it's also making an extra discount for the VAT which takes off another 3% (more than the vat reduction, but what the hell!!)

Just to make sure it wasn't a one off, I tried it for a sofa too and the same thing happened, 33% off.

Really nice discount for some quality furniture.

it says 20% of individual items of furniture, and 30% off 2 or more items, haven't checked the checkout thing, even with discount, way over my budget

That's the point, it's a glitch, baby!! Works at the checkout.

Prices are ridiculous for furniture!! £499 for a shelving unit. Yeah right! If you can afford them prices you shouldnt be on HUKD!

You're right, it won't be for everyone's liking, but 33% off good quality furniture is a deal. Some of their stuff is relatively expensive, but there are some deals to be had. As I mentioned, there is a decent king size matress for under 100 quid, which I think is a fantastic deal.

Don't forget there's free delivery too!

I'm sure someone out there will find this benefical.

Prices are pretty similar to Next Directory/ John Lewis. That's how much wooden furniture of a reasonable quality costs. But yeah, of course you're right, those of us that like quality should just pay full price for everything instead of saving £140.

Just posted my first deal. Feel free to have a go

Trouble is, if the last 20% day is anything to go by, you won't get the discount at all and you'll have to phone customer services to get it credited back to your card. They'll then spot the glitch

Like the saying goes; most welathy people are usually the tightest. Ergo the maybe the reason some people can afford M&S prices are down to HUKD.

Just a thought.........

Thanks OP, nothing I'm after atm though
#26
This isn't a 'glitch' this offer was on yesterday, 30% off furniture when you buy two or more items.
#27
M&S furniture may be relatively expensive, but it's of good quality. I've had my bed and wardrobe for 18 years and it's still as good as new! Couldn't imagine any of my ikea furniture lasting half as long..
#28
What use is 33% of a piece of furniture?

I would think it would be useful in saving you money if you were buying furniture. My goodness, seriously, I'm speachless.
#30
Anyone know if M&S ever offer more than 30% off their furniture or if they are likely to in the New Year? Not sure whether to order now or after Christmas. After a couple of sofa's so although this is a good glitch does not apply for me.

I think he meant it as a joke

i.e "What use is 33% of a piece of furniture?" as opposed to "What use is 33% off a piece of furniture? "
#35
is this including the VAT reduction too? (instore bought some stuff with the 20% off and the acual discount was 21.7% because of the VAT reduction)
#36
Well I just bought myself a good quality single mattress for my son with 1/3 off. Thanks.

I don't rate their furniture much, my Mum ordered around £1200 worth of Marlow bedroom furniture, it was fairly flimsy and took 8-10 weeks to arrive, several pieces were damaged, she was so fed up she told them to take it all back, after that it took her over 5 weeks to get a refund!!

P.S note to the below: I did vote hot, as i'm sure it's a good deal to some!

Sometimes I read these posts with increasing incredulity. Some of you are just downright rude. Trickyjabs posted this as a deal because it is 33% off quality furniture. That's a hot deal. Just because you can't afford it, doesn't mean it isn't a good deal. I can afford M&S furniture and have bought it in the past. Why would that mean I wouldn't want to save 33%. I shop in Waitrose but don't pick up one pack of sausages if they're buy one get one free.....Thank you Trickyjabs for posting the deal. Please lets remember that this is a website for thousands of people, don't take it so seriously, and hey, it's Christmas. Be nice. :-)
