drat, just bought 10 x 500g jars at Tesco witha £6 off £40 voucher they sent me

oh ordered some anyway, love the stuff!

Maybe I've missed it but I can't see a Best Before date which seems very strange. I'd want to know before buying in bulk like this.

Maybe I've missed it but I can't see a Best Before date which seems very strange. I'd want to know before buying in bulk like this.

think its 18 months, but as long as you use a seperate knife for the marmite then it suppoedly keeps for years

Don't worry about a best before date - marmite lasts a long time as it has a high salt content. It also improves with age.

I use it in cooking as well on toast and jacket potatoes.

I'll just scoop up the dregs from the bottom of my home brew, spread onto some extra-salty ritz biscuits - does you just as good but a bit more pleasant tasting than marmite.
