prob wouldn't even be able to buy these from a local wholesaler for this sort of price! so yeah I'm baffled to why voted cold, people prob thinking its expensive for a "Mars bar"

but why on earth do Protein bars cost so much ? when they are so simple to make for a hell of a lot cheaper price

Collagen, the main protein ingredient, is gristle - that vomit inducing rubbery / chewy bit that is usually hacked off by the butcher.

why not buy a normal mars bar and dip it in protein powder as you eat it?

Yup - I forgot about that. I cannot believe this is being turned into a chocolate bar.

Snickers protein bars on offer too. The price is still too high imo. Should be under £1 per bar like most on the market (if bought in bulk). These do have less calories than standard bars but still lots of sugar.

As for collagen, itis a potent source of amino acids. Though not a complete protein source, it has an impressive profile of essential amino acids, providing 18 of the 20 amino acids your body needs to create protein. Best not to think of where it comes from just like gelatin ;)
