The current 25% of wine also applys to martini which is currently on offer at 2 for £10 it`s £7.99 a bottle and the 25% comes off before the multibuy making it £18.01 intsead of £47.94

#2
i would of thought so
#3
Is this instore only or online aswell...as my online basket says £47.94 for 6 bottles!
#4
savings on home delivery dont come off till the final bill when it`s delivered but it does work

I'm not being given any discounts either on the website. The 2 for £10 and the 25% just don't seem to apply.

I called customer service and they say that the 2 for £10 should discount when delivered but the 25% off will only work if the wine is ordered from the wine section so won't work - not sure that's correct though.

Also having a problem working out how it ends up being £18.01 rather that £22.50 from your calculations.

£7.99 a bottle x 6 = £47.94
- 25% ( £11.98) = £35.95
-2 for £10 £5.98 x3 (£17.94) = £18.01
don`t know about online but this definitely worked for me instore today
#7
eh? i dont understand ur calculations.. but all i to do is buy 6 bottles right..?
#8
why is nobody asking WHY you want 6 1L bottles of Martini Bianco?
#9

OK so I think I've worked out your calculations:

6 bottles @ £7.99 = £47.94 and then they take off the 25% making it £35.95.

They then work out that if you buy 2 bottles for £10 you're saving £5.98 and because you've obviously bought 6 they then take away a further £17.94 (3 x £5.98) and finally they take that from the £35.95 making the bill £18.01

Did I get that right?

Seems odd that they just don't take the 25% from £30 (3 x 2 bottles at £10) making it £22.50.

Good news if it's right I'll try it tomorrow.

Paul.

Hi Just to let you know that Martini is not a wine but a vermouth therefore 25% doesn't apply...sorry to be a killjoy.
#16
I bought 6 litre bottles yesterday:

DISCOUNT IS CALCULATED:
6 bottles normally 7.99 = 47.94
25% discount = 11.99

PRICE YOU PAY:
6 bottles on the offer (3 x 10.00) = 30.00
Less discount based on original price = 18.01

That's what I paid yesterday. £3.00 a litre bottle !

vermouth is a fortified wine and has always been included in the normal 5% off 6 bottles of wine and my reciept shows 25% wine discount

Just to confirm the offer is valid on Martini. I bought only bought 2 bottles and 4 bottles of wine. But like the op said, it did take the 25% off the original price and then the discount for the 2 for £10 offer. Worked out at £3 for 1 litre of Martini. I sat and checked my receipt to check this and as an ex maths teacher my sums were definitely correct!
#19
Will this apply to Martini Extra Dry or is it only Bianco ?

Ive just been and a lady working there 'head compliance officer' told me it wasnt included because it is a spirit (i know it isnt but i didnt have time to argue) so I didnt take the chance to try at the till.

I will return after work to day and give it a shot! I dont think ill get 6 martinis, perhaps 2 and 4 wine as ketrel did.

Excellent deal
#23
Thanks very much for this, just been to Tesco bought a dozen bottles for £36.00 Great!!
#24
Just bought 1 rosso, 1 extra dry and 4 regular martinis for £18 - great deal - thanks!
#25
Also applies to Port if anyone is interested - the 25% off 6 botts that is - or it does at Sainsbury's and I'm pretty sure at Tescos too
#26
This is a real bargain.
I think they misreduced the price by 25%.
2 for 10 so 5 each and after 25% so it should have been 3.75 each
25% of 8 = 2 and 5-2=3 what we payed for.

If the 6 bottles discount reduction had been 62.5% not 25%
you would have got them for free due to this (mis)calculation.

Worked for me with a mixed lot. Otima10 port, 3 wines and 2 martinis for £23 - bargain!
#28
Worked for me too. Got 4 bottles of martini and 2 bottles of Gallo Rose for £17. The sign on the shelf said 2 for £10 then underneath was the 25% of wine label.

Excellent deal, stocked me and my mum up for crimbo parties and might just go back tommorrow for some more rose
